We stayed in Hearns Hotel on a Saturday night 3 rooms in total we had. In our experience the 6 of us had a ball. It was Drag Day in Clonmel and they had a Drag show in the Hotel that night. To say we laughed until we cried is an understatement.
Now the Hotel itself is not posh and only serves continental breakfast. But the staff are fabulous and so helpful 😊. This Hotel offers a great service for a night away. Out of the 6 of us who stayed there we would have no hesitation in returning and the little café next door beside the flower shop does beautiful food. Congratulations 🎊 to Hearns Hotel 🏨 and keep up the good work 👏. We will be back.

Booked the hotel because it looked lovely on the internet extremely disappointed when we arrived.
Stairs up to room were filthy.
Room was clean at first glance but on further investigation the skirting boards, light switches and door frames were filthy.
Bathroom was absolutely freezing, when the door wad opening, a cold breeze flowed out if it.
Free Wi-Fi is a misconception, it only works in the 'lobby' when we asked for the code we were told 'it doesn't work in the rooms' but the code was never given to us.
Positives ate the breakfast was good and the location is good but that is it.
We are not picky but believe that the price of the rooms is a little steep for what you receive.
Wouldn't recommend staying here as it doesn't really meet the needs of a modern world.
If location is the main concern it definitely meets that criteria.

Stayed here last weekend, the place is run down, badly in need of renovation.
Their web site shows a very false picture. Also if you fancy going to sleep before the night club closes, forget it. One of our group who managed to get hold of the manager to complain about the noise from the night club was verbally attacked by the manager for daring to complain. Never again !

The lady at the front desk was quite helpful recommending a place to eat for a late supper. We checked in and took our bags to our room. We weren't very happy with the room, it was outdated and looked very uninviting. After going for our meal we decided that we wouldn't be happy staying the night. There were no questions asked when we asked for a refund, almost like this wasn't the first time it had happened.

This is no longer a hotel ..... It's becoming IPAS accomodation for the UNVETTED flowing into the country . They blatantly LIED a few months ago about the hotel and the nightclub .....and told the people of Clonmel that it will continue as a hotel for many years to come !!

Stayed a weekend here to do some hiking with friends. Some rather unfair reviews on here. I would say the accommodation is excellent for the price, ok some things show age however the room was clean, beds comfortable, shower was good and breakfast excellent. The staff we interacted with were all very friendly. Nightclub was not running so can’t comment on noise issues other reviews mention. The car park has been made into a large beer garden, which was enjoyable. Very central location, I would stay again definitely!

Where to start.... The smell, oh my lord what a stale, musty, odour throughout. The bed.. An attempt at cleaning was prehaps made a few months ago. The room... The smell again!! The bathroom.. Sweet Lord, filthy isn't even an accurate enough description. Mould, broken window clasps, doors didn't close properly and the carpets definitely had their own eco-system in them. The staff were really nice though I felt bad for them.

This hotel should not be open. Its the dirtiest & smelliest hotel I've ever walked into. Had a room booked but it was so bad I had to leave straight away. Photos says it's all. Avoid at all costs. I felt sorry for the receptionist & got my refund straight away.

We went to C lonmel on a when to find there was a Festival on. We tried everywhere and they were all full even the B & B'a. One Hotel said your only chance would be to try Herns. We were very surprised when they had a room and only 75euro's. When we got to the stairs the carpet was filthy all stained and smelling. Our room the beds were clean and the towels also but after that the bed side light was hanging over and held on only by the cable. The top of the Bath was all cigarette burns. The ceiling in the Bathroom was all mildew thick and growing. We didn't get up for breakfast you can use your own thinking on that one. Before we left I checked the Wardrobe to see if we forgot anything and found Kettle and cups in the bottom. We arrived home and ran straight to the shower. I have photo's but I am not very good with computers if I can I will post.

I think my report was fair I had a continental breakfast not cooked. So cheap & cheerful I stick with. Clonmel during a hot June might be different to winter sorry you had a bad experience. Off today to Taiwan for a month wish me luck.
