When we first walked into Kilcoran Lodge when chosing our Wedding Reception Venue we knew that this was a very special place and we booked it nearly immediately with the management for September 2014 and it was the best thing we have ever done, even though the management of the hotel did change, it did not affect any of the...

We had our wedding reception in Kilcoran Lodge in June 2014. The setting amongst the Galtees overlooking the Knockmealdown mountains is beautiful and idyllic. The hotel itself is charming and steeped in history. As the weather was so nice, our guests enjoyed a champagne reception outside off the Glengall suite. Everyone commented on the relaxed atmosphere that was created, which...

I stayed at the holiday homes beside the hotel in August 2014 with my family and they were excellent. The mews (where we stayed) and the holidays homes are right beside the hotel but are run separately. They are self-catering and were totally up to date and spotlessly clean. You can use the hotel swimming pool and gym for a...

Stayed overnight to go to a wedding nearby the following day. Hotel is dated and old fashioned but very good value. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Restaurant was closed but ate in the bar. Food was probably the best meal we had in any hotel for many a year. Would recommend for short stays.
