we were travelling as a group of (8) friends. When we arrived the welcome was awsome, so friendly we thought we were welcomed by friends. The rooms are so well decorated large beautifully furnished and comfortable. Gerry and his wife are great hosts. This place was the best one we stayed at during our trip across Clare, Connemara and Mayo.... More

We stayed here for one night only but wish it was longer. Ballyvaughan Lodge is a perfect place to stay. Excellent accommodation, friendly service and an amazing breakfast. Highly recommended. The village has some very good options for dining and a great bar to get to Know other travellers and locals.

Very good, clean and modern Bed & Breakfast in Southern Ireland. Quiet town, not much night life, but a good stop over and easy to get to other sites in the area. The couple who own and run this do a great Breakfast!

Fabulous welcome and stay at Pauline and Gerry's bed and breakfast. Breakfast was 1st class. Gerry very kindly spent some time helping me out with a request I made. Would definitely stay there again. Very well located to walk into town to eat dinner.

What a superb location for touring around the beautiful scenery of the Burren and all of Co Clare. Only approx 3km from the Aillwee Caves which was wonderful and also included a birds of prey display not to mention the gift shop and restaurant which amongst it's array of tray bakes etc had the most wonderful boiled cake with whiskey... We spent here 2 nights and everything was perfect. Friendly people, a good and spacious room and a delicious breakfast! We brought our 2 years old daughter and she was also warmly welcomed. The burren are really close by and cliffs of Moher too.

I would highly recommend staying at the Ballyvaughan Lodge. Our room was comfortable and plenty spacious, with nice touches like a mirrored vanity, and chocolates and bottled water in the room on arrival. The common areas were inviting and well decorated with the local flavor reflected in the artwork throughout the house. Breakfast was an incredible spread of breads, jams,... More

I recently had the opportunity to visit Ireland with three older travelers. I chose Ballyvaughan Lodge because of its' proximity to the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, Doolin and many other tourist attractions. Gerry and Pauline could not have been more gracious and welcoming! They go above and beyond to insure the comfort of their guests! They even rearranged rooms... More
