Today my mum and I had the pleasure of visiting Castle Grove for afternoon tea. My mum would have special dietary requirements, which I had told them about when we were booking and well she was so well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the food was so yummy!! The welcome we received from Irene and...

Had occasion to spend one night at the Castle Grove as we were attending a wedding in a nearby hotel. Castle Grove is located in a private laneway almost on the shores of the lough. The building its self is a traditional country gentleman's residence built in the 1690's and retains is beauty, character and charm of the period. The...

This was our first visit to Castlegrove which we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. The rooms were tastefully decorated with beautiful paintings and period furniture. The restaurant served quality locally sourced food- excellent steaks and cooked to perfection. Look forward to returning .

The welcome was just as friendly and if you have stayed previously you will be remembered. The food is excellent. It is a very quiet hotel to stay in...

Attended a dear friends 50th Birthday party here. We had flown into Belfast, hired a car and drove the 2 hours to the Hotel. It was a long day and we arrived tired, cold and hungry. Despite a very busy venue (an 80th Birthday Party) the lovely staff sorted us out with tea, soup, sandwiches and some beautiful pints of...

I went here for the New Years Eve dinner. At €65 per head, excluding wine, I expected exceptional food and service. Unfortunately I think that it was overbooked with too few staff and the food was mediocre. We were met with a champagne reception and greeting. The delay in getting food out after sitting for over an hour and not...

Had a really great meal in an ambience of a period country house that welcomes you in settles you by the fire and slows the hectic in your day. Great service in a quiet night in the restaurant left us mellow and smiling and wanting to return.
