We have just returned from a wonderful 5 night stay at Barberstown Castle. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The staff were attentive and pleasant and very professional. The food we had in both the tearoom and the restaurant was exceptional. Our room was spotless and beautifully decorated with traditional furnishings. Would definitely return and would recommend for both leisure/business....

We are four ladies that have just returned from spending a very relaxing weekend at Barberstown Castle. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. Also we noted the cleanliness of the hotel. We enjoyed a very fine meal in the yellow room, again very good service and friendly staff. We would highly recommend this hotel

Stayed overnight whilst attending a wedding, the room was nice and clean but we were located on a busy corridor so could hear someone talking into the early hours of the morning. One area I felt the hotel fell down in was breakfast. We had to queue for 20 mins for a table the next morning and with small children...

I recently stayed at the Barberstown Castle for 2 nights, with my partner and family, as we were attending a wedding in the area. We all really enjoyed our stay. I can admit to being quite fussy and rarely write reviews, but I told the reception staff when I was leaving that I would, so here goes... The reception staff...

Do NOT go here! The rooms are terrible and ugly. I hurt my back when I sat on the bed because there was a very thin mattress. There were hairs in the bath and on my pillow, gross! The breakfast was pitiful and basic. The whole hotel was old fashioned and simply, ugly! The staff were extremely snotty and rude.The...

I had booked a night at Barberstown Castle as a birthday gift to my husband. We booked a four-poster suite. At the last minute our babysitting fell through and we had to take our 2yr old along too. My husband and I would regularly take weekend hotel breaks (not usually with our little son though) and we were both delighted...

On our recent stay we were allocated a deluxe room in the older part of this hotel & were thrilled by the size and luxury of it.The high corniced ceiling, four poster (large & very comfortable) bed ,period furniture and retro bathroom suite with superb new age plumbing system ensured our stay was better than that of a normal run of...

Spent the weekend here with my wife in May 2015. A nice spot, nice and secluded with excellent food. Service was fairly good and the rooms were very nice, surprisingly large in the newer part of the hotel (which still looks all oldie worldie but with the mod cons). My only gripe was with the absolutely terrible artwork & murals...
