Very disappointed with Lunch. Burger just tasted of herbs and not meat. Left most of it behind. Crab salad had lots of shell in it. Seafood chowder was ok, View was great but the food was very disappointing.

The location of The Strand is fantastic with great views towards the sea and across the bay however, once inside the guest house, our room was quite a disappointment. The decor in the attached Bistro is lovely and modern with a warm welcoming atmosphere but unfortunately this does not continue throughout the rest of the accommodation. Our room was rather... More

I stop in here on Sunday last just for a quick bite. Had the Chicken Bap. It was so tasty. I absolutely loved it. At the same time having a perfect view over Kilkee Bay.......Beautiful restaurant and excellent staff.

6 for lunch on a sunny Kilkee day! We didn't stay at the hotel so I have no idea about that, but the outdoor seating at the bistro is the perfect place to stoke up before walking the stunning Kilkee cliffs. The crab on toast was very fresh and filling, topped off with fresh coffee or a Dublin Porter (by... More

We have enjoyed a fantastic meal tonight at the Strand. The staff are very friendly and the food has been fantastic! I highly recommend the Hake- very fresh and extremely tasty. The desserts are also delicious... We will definitely be returning!

We stayed again this August 2016 and were as pleased as we have been for the past 8 years. The room was excellent and view as usual was awesome. The food was great and the service is top notch. The weather was super and so the walks and beach were beautiful. This guesthouse is a great choice for everyone.

We ended up at the Strand by chance, but certainly did not regret it. Very nice spacious rooms with a great view of the harbour. We liked the beds and the breakfast, despite the lousy weather at the time.

We visit every year and the food is amazing when the owner is the Chef du jour. The restaurant staff are wonderful. The poor bar staff need a class in speed, efficiency and productivity...all in all I love the place but bring the drinks on please..

I wouldn't recommend this guesthouse. There are far nicer places to stay in Kilkee for the same price. Room was very outdated overlooking the back of the guesthouse onto a flat roof. There was dye on the bed and torn curtains. Really old furniture and the bed was extremely hard. It had a nice bathroom with an awful shower. Wifi... More

I popped into the strand for a lunch time bite with my nieces recently. The decor is beautiful and very fitting for a seaside town. It was not overly busy and we were able to pick out where we wanted to sit. The menu was nice and there was a good variety for light lunch time snacks. There was 4... More
