We stayed here for two nights this weekend, and the love started at the very beginning, at check in. We were allocated a room on the top floor, my own fault as I should have requested a lower floor. There are no lifts in this very old, beautifully preserved building, so it meant that my partner, who has a lung... More

We stayed in the McCarthy suite on the second floor. A lovely room, very comfortable and clean and most of all quiet. Our stay at the Old Imperial was restful and we felt warmly welcomed by the manager and staff. Conveniently located in town, one can walk to everything. Breakfasts were beautifully prepared and our dinner in the restaurant was... More

Thank you for having us for our 10 day break in lovely Youghal. The food and drink were top notch and the breakfast cooked to order each morning set us up for the day. Nothing was too much trouble. At The Old Imperial you only have to ask and the staff will sort you out. Our room was huge with... More

Youghal's Old Imperial Hotel has loads of charm and character. We recently stayed in a family room which was very spacious and immaculately clean. The restaurant has great food choices and the staff were very warm and welcoming. I highly recommend staying or eating/drinking here while in town.

Just had to look at the barwoman and she had your pint on for you. Tables reserved for group every night with even requesting. Food is unbelievable, great choice , generous portions and the... More

I stayed here for one night so as not to have to drive 2 and a half hours to where I was working the following morning. The staff (Paul) was very polite and friendly when I arrived. I had let them know that I would be arriving around 10pm and that wasn't a problem. The room was lovely and quiet... More

I stayed for 8 nights and found the hotel thoroughly enjoyable. The room was clean, comfortable and had a nice view too. Having a parking area was a great help too as I was driving around a lot. I've reviewed the restaurant separately but it is intrinsically wound up in the whole experience. The bar and restaurant are very well... More
