I can't say enough about how well we were treated at Bunratty Manor Hotel. A big thank you to Fiona who was great to communicate with as we were planning our visit and even better during our stay! When we arrived we had already been in Ireland for seven days and had items that needed to be washed, but there wasn't a washer/dryer on site or one in town that we could rent. The staff offered to launder our items for us. Who does that in this day and age?
The hotel is only a five minute walk from Bunratty Castle and Durty Nelly's restaurant/pub.
The rooms were some of the best we had while in Ireland. They were spacious, very modern and decorated very nice. The bathrooms had heated tile floors and towel warmers on the walls. The beds were very comfortable. The bedrooms and bathrooms were second to none during our vacation.
I highly recommend you check out this hotel if you're looking for a place to stay in the area.

Don't know what to say this was the most amazing experience I have had in a long time. From the greeting to the departure it was 5 star. The food was a symphony on a plate combined with wines to enhance the experience. Each dish was constructed with love and care by a true craftsman. Service was also amazing unobtrusive yet friendly. David and Noel.are amazing in there attentiveness to every detail of service. Deserving of the highest accolade in the food industry. Well done Bunratty Manor you rock. X

We stayed here for two nights on the recommendation of our son- and it was truly a wonderful experience. Our room was beautifully decorated and the bed was so comfortable with spotless white linens. The bathroom was huge and had a bath and shower and a separate toilet area complete with bidet.
The dining room was warm and elegantly comfortable without being pretentious. The choice and quality of food was amazing and it was clear that all staff had been well trained in ensuring the comfort of the diners.
Breakfast did not disappoint with everything served fresh.
Checking out was as smooth as checking in thanks to very courteous and interested staff. A marvellous stay!

Cons: We booked this as we had taken a drive from Dublin to see the Cliffs of Moher. Having arrived at dusk we saw the reviews and pulled in. The first room they put us in was invested with live and dead bugs. The reception/front desk woman had said she had just been up to turn the heat on which could not have happened, the buzzing was loud and the dead bugs were covering the windowsill onto the floor. We returned to the front desk and let them know we would not be staying when she offered us a new room. Not being familiar with the area and being after dark we accepted. The new room was an improvement but not by much, the bedding/pillows smelled sour as if someone had been sick on the pillows or the linens had been left in a washer for days. We called down and she brought up fresh pillows and linens that were fresh and smelled clean.

Pros

The room was pleasant looking.
Plenty of parking
Easy walking distance to restaurants and attractions.
Breakfast at the restaurant was very good.

Stayed in this hotel for one night, Thursday with a friend booked 2 rooms with dinner and breakfast included . Beds very comfortable, fantastic shower.
Dinner was one of the best I have eaten, had the prawns which were to die for, followed by the steak done to perfection and Tiramisu which was light and delicious.
The staff were so friendly and attentive. Definitely will be returning as great value and a wonderful treat.
Thank you to all in Bunratty Manor.

We had my daughter's Christening party here and I cannot commend the staff enough for going above and beyond what was required of them. They were courteous, friendly and so helpful. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the children had a ball playing outside between meal courses. The food itself was incredible. The prawn starter in particular was mouth wateringly good!!!
Sincere thanks to Noel and his incredible staff for creating such a memorable experience.

What a great place with excellent professional service & wonderful food.
We requested vegan options, no problem, they have a vegan chef ! The food was imaginative & beautiful . We had a choice of Vegan mushroom Bruschetta , Thai soup, Tofu wrapped in seaweed ( "fish") with chunky chips & another mushroom main. The ingredients are top class & so fresh. We will be back with our families very soon.

I travel a fair bit for work and I needed somewhere to stay in Clare for one night stay . My usual place is closed for renovations so they recommended Bunratty Manor to me . Best recommendation for a hotel ever . Joan greeted me and although I’d no booking she found a room for me , a beautiful , quaint, old worlde decorated room which was warm, cosy and spotlessly clean. A gentleman greeted me and asked my name , it transpires he is the owner Noel. He was around all evening , called every guest by name and making sure everything was ok. It’s a small family run hotel and I felt like one of the family after just one night. The food @Noels restaurant at the Manor I’ll review separately as it was so good it deserves it own post but all I can say is I seriously considered relocating to the west so I could visit more often. The staff are a credit to the hotel and you can tell they love their jobs as being there is like coming home. After the awful 18mths we’ve all had this place is warm and welcoming while still adhering to all Covid guidelines. Well done to all the Manor , I’ll most definitely be back . Caroline Henshaw

Went to stay a night with my sister who was visiting me in ireland, i found the room to be clean and reception was welcoming.
What we didnt like was the price of 2 white wines in the bar to be 19 euros(!!) and the breakfast we paid for on top of the room price produced 2 quite overdone bacon omelettes which with some managerial overview, could be avoided

Is there a frigde in the room? What time is continental breakfast served?
Answer from Richard N
Northampton, Pennsylvania99 contributions28 helpful votes
Definitely no fridge in the room. Don't exactly recall the breakfast time, but it was pretty standard for these places. Breakfast was not included in our room rate, but I think it was possible to arrange a rate that did include it, if you were so inclined.
