As a traveler from the U.S., I have long come to expect the worst of my morning of arrival in Europe - arrive very early morning after the red-eye flight and then being greeted with the typical "your room is ready, we can take your luggage up, but you cannot have your room until 4 PM..." But now we are... More

Great service and a lovely bowl of chowder! We called in for lunch and it was perfect for what we wanted. Its a great alternative to the packed cafes downtown. There is also a lovely garden outside with tables and chairs where dogs are welcome. No complaints from us!

Kilcoolys were the prefect hosts for our recent engagement party and stay. The food, music, welcome and accommodation was better than great. Highly recommend a stay here amongst the wonderful locals of Ballybunion.

From the welcome, to the room, staff and service, perfect. Central to the town, a short walk to the beach and golf course. Wonderful welcome and traditional irish music on our stay. Cannot welcome high enough. John and Joan, our hosts , made us feel like family.

Stayed in Kilcooly's for two nights and had a great time from start to finish. On arrival we were greeted by the friendly Joan who informed us we were getting a complimentary upgrade. The room was on the top floor and was incredibly spacious, comfortable and peaceful. We ate in the bar the first night and the food did not disappointed... More

My wife and I, and another couple, stayed at this beautiful, heritage hotel in mid-June, 2016, and had an absolutely excellent experience. The location couldn't have been better, as it was a short walk to the beach and the Ballybunion ruins, and less than a 5 minute car ride to the Ballybunion golf course. The building is beautiful stone, and... More
