So quiet on the farm. Nature is everywhere around. Josephine did feel us as at home. We started with a stay of one night and ended with 3 nights. Not far from Kylemore Abbey and Leenane , and the National Park. An ideal location,

We spent 5 nights at Glen Valley. Altogether a lovely experience despite the cold wet weather. Josephine is a wonderful host: welcomed us at the end of every day with a roaring fire in the sitting room, scones and tea. Her offer of a hot toddy to help me over the effects of a nasty cold was much appreciated! The...

Josephine and Joe could not have been more gracious. We were on a Hillwalks walking tour. When Josephine picked us up at meeting point at Lough Inagh we asked how we could hire a cab to visit Kylemore Abbey. She quickly volunteered to take us there right then! Next morning after wonderful Irish breakfast while driving us back to trail...

This is a more traditional B and B operating out of a farmhouse and on a working sheep farm located about 3 km off the main road. If you are lucky - as we were - you get to see the farmer and his border collie fetch the sheep from high up on the mountain/hill opposite. Breathtaking. The establishment has...

We hillwalked to Leenane and after 32km walk we arrived in Leenane and realized that the Glen valley B and B was another 7miles away...not in the center of the town at all.We called the owner and she offered to pick us up which was nice. The house is a little old. The place is dark. The owner was nice...

This is a great place if you are looking for a nice secluded place to stay in the Connemara region of Ireland. Josephine the owner is a great host, and the breakfast was exceptional. I would suggest this for anyone.

This house is full of character, history and country charm and sits in a beautiful rural setting. We loved it. It's off the beaten path, and it was worth the extra drive for us, and not that inconvenient. Josephine is a wonderful host - very welcoming, informative and helpful. She has lots of walks in the area to suggest and...

If you like to get off the beaten path, this is the place for you. After a short drive through the woods, you come upon this lovely little home at the end of the road. Our hosts were very friendly. Had a nice chat with Joe in the evening in the living room. Beds were very comfortable. Woke up to...

I have been to Glen Valley twice ( 2008 and 2010) and will return again when I can. The innkeeper, Josephine, is as pleasant and sociable as you could want. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the Irish Breakfast is sensational. You are made to feel at home and you cannot help but relax in the serene setting of...

We spent one night at Glen Valley during our road trip of Ireland. Very warm hospitable family feel to the house and the two Joe's made us feel very welcome. Still laughing about Joe's story's. We turned up late in the afternoon and Jo left us a note on the door and the keys asking us to make ourselves at...
