Myself and my boyfriend had to get sandwiches as the prices for mains are absolutely ridiculous - €19.95 for Chicken Supreme and €18.95 for Chicken Curry. Quite slow service, we waited 20 minutes to get two sandwiches and one portion of chips - outside of us there was only 4 other tables - two of these were getting tea and...

The hotel was exactly as expected. We were given a warm welcome, good food and a relaxing evening at minimum cost. Dinner was great: wonderful value . The bedroom was large and comfortable but I would have loved a bigger TV! Bathroom a bit cramped but still totally fine

I stayed here for one night and this hotel is lovely. I booked a single room but when I got to the room I had a massive double bed all to myself, the bed was very comfy. The room was immaculately clean, the bathroom had loads of towels. I had an upper story room with a gorgeous view over the...

I spent two nights here in February and despite being advised that the hotel was like Fawlty Towers with great food, I decided to stick with my booking. I am glad that I did. I needed to change my original booking twice. This was dealt with quickly and courteously. I arrived by car from Dublin at about 8.pm and took...

We stayed on a Saturday night , and ate in the restaurant . The room was clean but a bit tired, but the 2 for 1 main meal deal made this very good value as an overnight b&b and evening meal stop. All four meals were excellent, with local vegetables cooked to perfection. However the highlight for us was seeing...

We went for a family dinner sunday to treat Mam for Mothers Day. It was my first time going for food here, even though its local. I got a goats cheese salad for starter and the only vegetarian main course option was pasta, which I didnt feel like. The waiter asked the chef if he could do something but i...

Very good location, right in town but overlooking the river. Lovely renovated entrance. There really is no reception - you go the bar and check in (dangerous? lol). Its really more of a bar/restaurant with rooms. If you stay in room 1, its lovely and big and looks right out at the river, however there are 2 meeting rooms on...

We came for a meal out and had the 2 for 1 on a Friday night and had the ribeye steak. It was amazing quality and every bite was enjoyed. So much so we went back the next night and had the same quality meal but chose another item of the menu. The staff were friendly and it had a...

I chose the Grand for 1 night B&B for business last week. It came top of the pile on Tripadvisor and seemed to get good reviews for food and a nights sleep. The Grand is situated on the River, parking is outside and is only free between 6pm and 9am, but only a Euro an hour otherwise. The Check in...
