This is a great wee motel, Unit 2 has fabulous views of the sea, a very short walk to the tavern & Fleurs Place. A very short drive to the Moeraki Boulders and the Penguin colony. Perhaps not so great if one has a walking disability as there are stairs up to the bedrooms. however for us it was really...

I don't know why we did not stop in the Moeraki Beach Motel despite it was late in the afternoon and we were compleately soaked with rain and sand after visiting the boulders. What I know is that it wasn't a good idea: despite the horrible weather, the Moeraki Beach Motel looked great with its huge windows facing the stormy...

The motel is spacious with 2 bedrooms at the upper level and the living room, kitchen and shower/toilet at level one. The building/furnishing is a little old and squeaky steps up to the bedrooms. However. it was clean and the bedroom had an awesome seaview! Check in and out was easy and fast. There is a pretty steep downhill driveway...

We are able to get a room at short notice, not having gotten round to booking in advance - it was a little odd using the phone at reception to check in as the manager was off site, but worked fine. I forgot to check the price, and thought we might be paying over the odds as it turned out...

The apartment is quite large and the views from upstairs are very good. Bed was comfortable and the apartment was good value. On the downside, the furnishings were pretty tired, we were not game to sit on the lounge and the steps to the bedrooms upstairs were a worry, being a bit rickety with risers that seemed almost twice normal...

We stayed here just one night - and the motel is quite adequate. The building is a little old and came with appropriately squeaky steps up to the bedrooms. We checked in late at night and the manager still drove up to check us in. Just a few minutes from the beach The drive to Moeraki in the night is...

Thank you for your nice comments about Moeraki Beach Motels, unfortunately the road leading in to the township has been undergoing lots of repairs and is not ideal, but we are glad that you enjoyed your stay!

This property felt more like your own apartment than a motel. It's in a little residential community so was very quiet. I could not believe the amount of space for the price. A decent water view from the room and located perfectly for strolls on the beach. The drive the boulders was not far either.

We were a couple, but had a huge 2 storey unit with 2 bedrooms upstairs and great views. Downstairs was very spacious with lounge area and good kitchen facilities. Excellent bathroom and shower. The stairs were very rustic and quite steep. Great value for money. Proprietors very friendly.
