I have just returned from a great week of golfing in Ireland. We stayed at a few hotels but Ballinlacken Castle was the standout. This was not my first time staying here and I really should 'cut and paste' my last review. The food is outstanding, the rooms are very atmospheric and super comfortable. The standout for me - the...

Ballinalacken is our first stop whenever we visit Ireland. We fly into Shannon, drive to the castle, take a quick nap and are ready to great the evening. The food is incredibly delicious and the setting gorgeous. The owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Never a bad stay. And breakfast! wow! Can't say enough about breakfast. Makes you want to...

What an awesome surprise for our last 2 nights in Ireland. My wife has a thing for castles, so, just being on the grounds and touring the castle both nights, was a dream come true for her. And, it was completely unexpected. It capped off an absolutely tremendous vacation for us. And, the hot and sunny weather at the Cliffs...

Beautifully furnished, well kept and nothing at all to complain about! Were unable to get a cab to the pubs downtown one night (no drinking and driving however it's a short drive) so we ate in the dining room, the food and service were incredible. Nothing but good things to say!

We changed our travel route a few days before leaving for Ireland so we needed a place to stay in Doolin. I quickly searched TripAdvisor and found this place. What a pleasant surprise. This hotel was wonderful. The managers, Celina and her husband, were unbelievably friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 14 and the view was gorgeous. While we...

My husband and I stayed here on August 29th, 2016 and found the charm, history and elegance just to our liking. A bit hard to find (stupid GPS) but worth the extra effort. Mostly quiet (was I just dreaming the three bygone ladys in my room?) atmosphere with the unexpected pleasure of a private castle tour by the proprietor. In...

Near the village of Doolin, with access to Aran Islands ferry and great music, this beautiful, family run country manor is one I would return to time and time again. Set on a hill overlooking The Cliffs of Moher, the rooms are quiet, well appointed and comfortable. Proprietors Cecelia and Declan, expertly manage the facility, bar, dining room, provide tours...

The unique architecture of this beautiful country house provided one of the quietest and most comfortable experiences of our recent 10 day trip to Ireland. Cecelia and Declan are thoughtful, professional innkeepers who provide guests with top advice on area activities. Yvonne and Georgia served delicious breakfasts and dinners in the dining room. Located near Doolin, site of the Aran...

My family and I visited Ballinalacken on August 15th as an impromptu dinner choice. I can say that we were all pleasantly surprised and quite honestly blown away by our evening there. We arrived around 6:30 and were offered a tour of the castle. It was amazing. We felt so privileged to be able to get such an intimate visit...

We highly recommend this hotel. It is exactly the kind of place that I was hoping to find on our trip. We stayed three nights. A beautiful setting with great views of the ocean and even the Cliffs of Moher off in the distance. Our room was great - a corner room with views out both windows. Our daughters' room...
