The staff at this hotel were great, the bed was so comfy, the breakfast was up there with a 5 star rating and the view from the hotel room was superb. I would recommend this hotel very easily for anyone who is in the area.

We stayed here for one night whilst walking the Cotswold Way. The pub is a very short distance from the trail and has fantastic views over the Vale of Gloucester. Our room was basic but well equipped - warm and with plenty of hot water. We had booked dinner in the pub, despite it being a Monday, and we were...

I have always wanted to stay here as I visit Cheltenham regularly. However I won't be visiting again. We arrived, phoned 0 on the unmanned reception, waited patiently, only to be told our booking wasn't right (even though when I booked through Booking.com) I stipulated that it was for 1 adult and 2 children and it still gave me a...

We are sad to hear that you did not enjoy all aspects of your stay; we are a modest sized hotel with 24 rooms so do not have a manned reception desk 24/7, however between the hours of 9 and 3 we do have a receptionist. Despite this our team are happy to help, and can be found front of...

Arrived on Thursday evening having braved the traffic on the M5 to a friendly welcome. Lovely room overlooking the valley - very pretty at night with all the lights and perfect on a sunny morning. The dining room was very busy with a couple of large parties in but our food arrived quickly - good sized portions and piping hot....

We are so glad we followed our impulse to check out the attractive inn which met our sight as we drove around a bend on Cleeve Hill. Made to feel warmly welcome we spent four delightful hours in this elegant yet comfortable hotel. With a bird's eye view of Bishop's Cleeve and the Cotswold Hills in the distance, we watched...

We booked a table for two at 14.00 and was seated at a very pleasant table set for 4 which gave us plenty of space. I ordered the Roast beef Sunday lunch and my wife ordered the Sea Bass fillets. Both meals were of a very good standard and along with 2 rather nice desserts. All at a cost of...

Sorry to here this. Our best of British menu has generally gone down really well and generally has received positive feedback, I am sorry this was not the case for yourself. After receiving vouchers for my birthday we decided to try out the rising sun as it is on our doorstep and we were not disappointed! Patrick is fantastic at what he does and made sure we were looked after at all times, he really is a credit to the whole set up. All the other staff seemed lovely also! Food...

We visited The Rising Sun for lunch, a party of nine including three young children. We were delighted to be able to reserve a table at short notice for a Saturday lunchtime and were very impressed with the fantastic views from the restaurant. Sadly, that was the last time we were impressed, the service was abysmal and the food was...

Thank-you for the feedback and all the information, it has allowed me to properly investigate your comments. It does appear we had a small delay - around 30 minutes, between your starter and main course for this I apologise, it was myself that sat you down and I was on the bar or welcoming customers for the duration of your...

Went for meal with friends, initial impression wad a nice ambiance - until the shreaking band came on. Our friends had all travelled to see us but conversation was near impossible once the band had started.
