Chiang Rai, Thailand

Huge rooms, friendly staff, good massage, peaceful mountain setting, lots to see in the area - much better than Chiang Rai city! Highly recommended. For nearby food with the locals, try Precha Borkung which is a prawn farm in the rice fields and does nothing but prawns served at tables perched over the water. Keep going past the Choui Fong...

We are glad to hear that you enjoyed our facilities and were able to get a relaxing massage. Yes the prawn farm is very good place to eat,...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 14 March 2017

A (too-short) weekend getaway at Katiliya was just the tonic for a busy few weeks in Bangkok. It's a lovely escape, with gigantic rooms (the bathroom alone...) and valley-facing views (from my room) that put you in immediate "relax" mode. There's no real reason to leave the hotel - but they provide interesting day trips if you're so inclined. The...

My wife and I live in Chiang Rai, and decided to take a short break after the Songkran holiday was over. There are lots of places to choose from in the north, we settled on Katiliya, mainly because the rooms and grounds look very nice from the pictures, it looked quiet and peaceful... and because they were running a special....

We drove to the hotel by our car, the hotel locates in remote area, but the view is wonderful. The check-in was a little mess since they couldn't find our booking. We ordered room-service, the service was very nice and the food was tasty. We got a very spacious room, with a good view, but the room needs renovation urgently....

We only had one night here as part of our Thailand trip but it was truly memorable. Our room was spectacular with wonderful views especially of the sunrise. The hotel was extremely quiet when we were there which meant the bar and restaurant lacked a bit of atmosphere but this wasn't a problem. The food was delicious, we had both...

We stayed here for 2 nights and wish we could have stayed for a whole week! We rode up to Katiliya from Chiang Mai via motorbike, which offered spectacular views along the way. The entrance to the resort is 2km down the hill, so it's quite secluded and tucked away from the main road. Check in was easy and they...

We arranged to be picked up from the airport and the vehicle the hotel provided was very comfortable and got us to the resort in about 40 minutes. The driver and reception staff were very nice and got us to our suite without issue. Just in time, too! Within moments of arriving a pretty impressive thunderstorm hit and knocked out...

A rather splendid affair I have to say . The rooms, were giant if a little spartan, not part of some Nordic minimalism.
