A real pleasure to stay at such a charming home. Everything was well thought out from the welcome with tea and biscuits to the discreet provision of the bill in an envelope tucked under the side plate at breakfast. Room and ensuite were spotlessly clean and breakfasts were excellent. Thoroughly recommended.

We stayed at Old Timbers on a Sunday evening after visiting Bath and Winchester for the Jane Austen festival. The cottage in the quiet village of Upper Farringdon is very nice and our host Kate was very pleasant as she showed us around the accommodation which looked great. We unpacked and then sat and searched the web for somewhere to...

What an absolute gem of a place! From the friendly welcome accompanied by tea and biscuits to the lovely room to the sumptuous breakfast and everything in between. You could not ask for a more friendly host or be made to feel like a special guest rather than just a passing traveller. The location is in a beautiful village and...

We stayed for 2 nights whilst attending a wedding st East Tisted. We enjoyed our stay very much. Kate is a superb hostess, kind and most welcoming. Our room was very comfortable, luxurious bed linens, towels and robes, we couldn't have asked for more. A good variety of hot drinks to choose from in our room as well. Kate's breakfast...

Little that I can add to previous comments. An extremely high standard of comfort, excellent facilities, the warmest of welcomes and as good a breakfast as you will find anywhere. Great location within easy reach of Winchester and Portsmouth and walkable across fields to Chawton with its interesting historical attractions.

This was our second visit to Old Timbers and it was as good as we remembered - Kate is so welcoming and friendly and you want for nothing. We took friends this time so the excellent breakfast took even longer. Our first visit was in March last year when we really appreciated the open fire and cosy sitting room, this...

Kate is warm and welcoming and the facilities are second-to-none. We were there all too briefly only to crash out after a wedding but we are already planning a return visit when we will explore the beautiful surroundings and linger for longer over the delicious breakfast.

I had a wonderful two-night stay at Old Timbers. Kate was friendly and helpful, the room was pleasant and cozy, and the scrumptious breakfast kept me full all day. I loved the combination of old fashioned charm plus WIFI. As an added bonus for Jane Austen fans, you can walk on public roads and paths from Old Timbers to the...
