What a lovely surprize when we turned into their lane a saw a beautiful old house. The inside did not disappoint either. We had room 12, which was warm and comfortable. Price included a full English breakfast and the lunch and dinner menu were good and reasonably priced. Xmas decorations were brilliant put Peterborough city to shame. Would highly recommend... More

Stayed here for the first time last week for two nights. Wasn't expecting to be impressed as seemed lot cheaper than other places but really couldn't fault it. Room nicely decorated with very smart bathroom, all lovely and warm. No road noise despite being in sight of busy road. Meals were lovely and very good value. My husband ordered steak... More

Stayed here for a night on my way to a event. Although overall the stay was fine it was a bit of a mixture. First the not so good points: The room had a half finished, shabby look. The main door wasn't painted or varnished, which look quaint but a bit odd. The sink was in the room while the... More

Visited one night for tea both decided to have 12oz steaks which were cooked exactly how requested. The chips were homemade as well as the onion rings which were the best I had tasted in a long time, we order Stilton sauce which was delicious. Drinks were reasonably priced. Overall we had a lovely visit the bar staff were very... More

Working away on business, I had the pleasure of staying at the Hogs Head Hotel in Awsworth for 3 days this week - I was not disappointed! Heading towards a dead end, you wonder where you are going to end up, but then a sharp left turn in to the driveway and the hotel appears. There are plenty of parking... More

Hogs Head. What to say about this amazing place. Unlike most chains that don't really care if you return or not because they know someone else will go this place is an independent business and takes pride in the food they sell. Quite simply put it is the best carvery experience I've ever had and whenever I go anywhere else... More

This is the third time this year that I have stayed here. As a solo traveller it is important to me to stay somewhere that I feel comfortable, and Annette and Andrew always make me feel at home. My room was clean and comfortable, nice hot shower, tea and coffee etc. the cooked breakfast is amazing, and I would recommend... More

Stayed 1 night and paid the same price of a well known budget hotel chain. Room was very clean and bed comfy. Only slight moan was the shower pressure and temperature very hit and miss ( nothing major ). Check in very quick and staff friendly, breakfast included that was lovely.
