We went for the whale swimming but that was frustrated thanks to Ha'apai Whale and Sail (rogue trader), however by pure serendipity we discovered Serenity- a brilliant consolation. We transferred from Lifuka with Selassie (he is the only native operator for whale watching in Ha’apai, whose boat has a wet boarding (and the boarding area has broken glass- caution), however...

This resort is located on the island of Uoleva which is a sparsely populated island. Other accommodation located on the island includes Captain Cooks Hideaway and Taiana’s (Diana’s) Beach Resort. All accommodation is located on the water. Details can be found on http://www.haapai.to/accommodation.html. Apart from that the island appears largely unpopulated. It is a 45 min boat transfer from the...

Serenity beaches resort has to be one of the most amazing places I have stayed. Patty and her crew look after you so well, the food is incredible, the beaches are picture postcards and the reefs just off shore are some of the healthiest I have ever seen! Be sure to take some cash as there are no ATM's anywhere...

Patti and her crew provided us with excellent service and food along with the Friendly Tongan hospitality of the people. Be prepared to be picked up by an island taxi where you will be taken to the little yet main town of Pangai where you can get any last supplies (liquor, snacks, etc.). You will then get on an island...

What really stands out at Serenity is the staff. They are truly amazing - everyone who helped us during our stay was friendly, polite and genuine. We chose a fale (Dolofini) with an 'en-suite'. This was situated on the other side of the island from the main fale, and was secluded and peaceful, with great sea views. The fale itself...

From the moment we stepped off the boat onto Uoleva Island, we felt the serenity and warmth of Serenity Beaches resort. Patti and Semi welcomed us with open arms to the haven that they have created. The beautiful fales assembled from Balinese timber create the perfect setting for ultimate relaxation and rejuvenation. The pristine waters and beautiful beaches of Uoleva...

We have just returned from Tonga, having stayed in 5 different locations/resorts over 9 nights. Serenity Beaches stands out as a very, very special place!! - not just for this trip but from our past travels. The hospitality and welcome from Patti, Semi, Moti and Noa were the warmest we have ever received - from the moment we stepped ashore...

We arrived by a small boat after a 15 hour night ferry trip (which is as close to hell you can get) . I'm tired and grumpy, then get greeted on the beach by Patti & Semi, they were great from the moment we arrived, it took about 20 minutes for me to snap out of my grumpy state! The...

We were only able to stay 3 nights in one of the most beautiful places in the South Pacific. If you want to get away from it all without roughing it for a reasonable price, Serenity is the spot. Uoleva had a population of 9 when we were there, and yet Patti and Semmi made sure that we did not...

We have spent 2 weeks of February 2013 and it was our best holiday ever. Considering, we are in our mid sixties and love to travel it is pretty important statement.
