Detailed Reviews
We visited for the weekend at Castlelodge recently and had a lovely stay.
We brought our small dog, who was allowed to stay in our room. It was our first time taking the dog on holiday, but the owners (Lyndon & Mandy) were very welcoming and he settled in well.
We brought his crate and so he slept in there, but the room is spacious so it was easily accommodated. We never let him on the bed or furniture out of respect for the owners.
The room itself was modernised but still in context with the age and look of the property. The king size bed was comfortable and we both had a good nights sleep during our stay.
There was a lot of thought that had gone into the room, attention to detail from the owners with regard to facilities, we never had to ask for anything. There was just about everything you could think of (home from home). The en-suite bathroom again was very well equipped, plenty of towels, Spare toiletries etc. The shower mat was a very good idea, often it's been a bit of a struggle with a slippery floor, so was pleased I didn't have to improvise!
We were given the option to make use of the lounge area and kitchen, if we had stayed longer this would have been very useful. Breakfast on both mornings was very nice, hot and plentiful, nice selection of hot drinks, teas etc,
We had a full English, sausage, bacon, egg, hash brown fried bread, beans, mushrooms, black pudding, toast and tomatos. This could be tweaked depending on your what you liked, we had everything!
The lodge itself is set in a quiet suburban small village not far from Brecon town and tourist attractions, set in the Brecon Beacons there was plenty to see and do. Lyndon was very helpful in making suggestions of places to go and there was also plenty of leaflets and info available to peruse. Mandy, was also a lovely lady and we enjoyed talking to them both. We wouldn't hesitate to come back to Castlelodge again, thanks again for a wonderful stay.

We enjoyed our comfortable overnight stay at this well equiped B & B. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, styled comfortably with a spacious and great bathroom. It is located in a village called Sennybridge not far from Brecon. It worked well for us as it allowed us to see a beautiful historic very ancient yew tree nearby on a church yard as well as hike up Pen Y Fan. The accomodation was comfortable, offering a spacious bedroom with a 4 poster bed and a well equiped bathroom. It also offered shared lounging areas and games area as well as access to a large kitchen. We were spoilt with a large cooked breakfast in a room that overlooks a typical Brecon Beacons view. A lovely overnight stay that we would recommend,

The castle lodge b&b in Sennybridge is a beautiful place to stay.
We had 2 lovely nights there and thought everything was perfect.
Our room was so special and beautiful, the bathroom is amazing and the attention to detail is stunning, we felt very spoilt in our room, the lounge is also very lovely and so cosy.
Breakfast is great and just what you need to start your day exploring the beautiful surroundings and nearby towns.
Lyndon the owner can not do enough for you, he was always happy to chat and offer advice on where to go and what to see to make your trip as memorable as possible, we didn’t meet his wife but I am sure she is equally as lovely.
We would absolutely stay here again without hesitation.

Stayed here from 12-15 July and had a very comfortable stay. The B&B is extremely quiet and you have full use of a separate lounge and kitchen if you so choose to use them. We only met the owner Lyndon and he was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 2 and it has everything you could possibly need to enable you to have a great stay. We've never seen so much equipment in a room he/they have gone above and beyond. Breakfast was lovely and alot of choice, we just had full english and toast which was enough to fill us up for the day without needing lunch. Thank you for all the advice you gave us on places to see. Situated in a perfect location to go off and see the sights and also in walking distances of 3 pubs to eat of an evening. Thank you.

Very nice little accomodation, cozy, very friendly staff, nice location, near some very nice pubs. Room is comfortable, bathroom is perfectly adequate. Nice touch was the owners asking us what we would like for breakfast the next morning, great touch!

This was our 1st B&B stay so we we were a little apprehensive of what to expect. We stayed in room 1 which was fantastic. The room was very comfortable, lovely and clean. Lyndon was a great host, took time to chat to you and made a great breakfast. We loved the village of sennybridge which is a great place to locate yourself for exploring. We will definitely be back.

I enjoyed this B&B so much I wish we could have stayed another night. Lovely attention to detail in the rooms to make guests comfortable, and the house is nicely furnished, bright and warm. Spotlessly clean and well thought-out. I had the best night's sleep in recent memory, in a gorgeous four-post bed, followed by an excellent and abundant breakfast with the sun streaming through the front windows, in a beautiful location. Lyndon made us feel welcome as guests is a very good host - friendly and available, considerate and not at all intrusive. Top marks from us, we hope to see you again later this year!
Best wishes,

Stayed one night to break up a journey from Harlech back home to Devon. Lyndon was there to greet us, a really lovely host, very helpful and friendly. We felt at home straight away. The good sized room was very clean (as were the rest of the areas we could use), large comfy bed, large ensuiteand tea /coffee facilities . Had a lovely breakfast (inc veggie), including a sausage for the dog! I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Lyndon, for your help with house hunting, we hope to be in Wales by early next year!

We loved Castle Lodge B&B. The owners are the friendliest couple, so welcoming. They are extremely hospitable, friendly and helpful. The room is huge, the bathroom is recently renovated and just lovely. The surrounding countryside is stunning. Parking is free. The breakfast was the best on our trip to Wales. Price was very reasonable. We got the use of the kitchen, full sized refrigerator, breakfast room and living room with fireplace. There is a gas station and small grocery store just down the road, with lots of basic, but good, food choices. We felt right at home in this lovely setting. Highly recommended!

What a fantastic B+B. Made to feel so welcome and at home. Great additionals including hot drinks in the room, a multiple setting shower, lovely fluffy towels and a 4 poster bed as well- wow! Delicious breakfast in the mornings cooked for whatever time suited me. My whole stay was very relaxed, which is exactly what I needed.
