I was made to feel welcome from start to finish by the new proud owners of this friendly family run village pub and B&B. Room was clean with all amenities to hand and the breakfast was lovely. Although the pub menu is limited, it was of good quality and prepared from fresh and served with pride. Will definitely book for...

My partner and I stayed on Saturday night in a wonderful room. It was beautifully clean and had everything we needed. A number of reviewers have commented on the welcome and we were also made to feel equally appreciated. On Saturday night we ate delicious pizzas (they're a new addition to the menu apparently) and we stayed on the Sunday...

We stayed over for one evening and the owners were perfect hosts. The food isn't pretentious and is good value - this is a good all round pub with B&B so you are getting good service within a traditional pub environment. We had a room at the back and was not disturbed by the road at all. The metal steps...

Driven past this pub so many times so decided to pop in for lunch. Very friendly welcome & good quality ales. For a Saturday lunch time the menu was a little limited mainly basket meals & sarnies. The sweets were a different matter all homemade & delicious.

Our hosts Andrew, Vanessa & Eliot, were fabulous. This was a short notice booking & we were feeling a bit travel worn but could not have got a more welcoming, friendly greeting. This was quickly supplemented by Vanessa's 'tour' of our accommodation & information about the village & surrounds. Our rooms were clean, warm & cozy & we will confidently...

Sunday lunch here. SUPERB. Extremely welcoming. Very accommodating to children. Will be lovely for summer with big garden and games. Family room well equipped too. Looking forward to seeing the future of this pub with the new landlords.

Upon arrival the wonderful lady barkeep welcomed us in and introduced herself. Which really set the tone for the experience. Really friendly, nothing was too much...

The owner (or one of them) couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful when we arrived. She showed us to the room, turned the heating up (which we as tough northerners had to turn back down) and gave us all the information necessary. The room was lovely - clean and newly refurbished with an ensuite bathroom with one of my...

My wife and I stayed two nights in March. Andy & Vanessa, the new hosts, and their staff could not have been more welcoming, friendly or helpful. The en-suite bedroom was well-equipped and clean, the breakfasts excellent, there were log fires in the Breakfast Room and the Bar, the atmosphere and beer in the bar were good. Definitely recommended.
