My friend and I spent two nights at Woodlands in twin (single supplement rooms) booked on line for a very reasonable price. Our intention being to use the Hotel as a base to walk some of the Wales Coastal path which has recently been enhanced. After a days walking we drove up the long driveway to what is an old... More

May I first thank you for your review. As you can imagine, I was very upset at reading your review. I would like to point our that the Hotel was once, over 200 years ago was a Rectory and therefore not a purpose built hotel. It would, in my opinion, not suit too much of a modern decor. As a... To be honest we couldn't believe our luck finding somewhere last minute IN AUGUST and so close to the beach. A lot of the reviews appeared very complimentary but, with hindsight, it looks as though these were from people who had children with them, diners or wedding receptions. Thankfully, it was only a one-night stopover!! POSITIVES: close to beach and... More

We had our wedding reception here on the 30th July 2016, and it was amazing! The staff were really efficient and friendly. Leading up to the wedding, Nerys and Cath were extremely helpful, and very approachable, allowing us to decorate as we wished, and offered to help as much as they could. The food was fantastic, the home made pate... More

We had a wonderful time here the food excellent, happy family atmosphere very helpful, the only drawback it needs some serious update accommodation wise, room was clean, lovely and peaceful here. Really enjoyed the reception. Out of the way a bit, if looking to chill out, this is it!

We have visited the hotel several times now and have never been disappointed with the standard of the food served. The staff are welcoming and friendly and always have a smile to offer. Particularly like the five bean chicken and the chicken and chorizo burger, always well presented and freshly prepared. The hotel also has a separate indoor play area... More

I would suggest this hotel has received no investment since the 1980's. The location is good, very peaceful, the lady who welcomed us was very pleasant & helpful, but the state of the property was disappointing. TV in room was ancient & signal dreadful. The only way I could open a window was to stand on a chair, no hairdryer... More

Great family friendly Hotel with indoor and outdoor play centre. Pool table, slot machines and great reasonable priced food for adults and children. The Sunday roasts are amazing! Very helpful pleasant staff led by the charming Nerys. All above set in 7 acres offering beautiful mountain views. Do I need to say anymore?

My family and I (I think we were 12 including children) made a late booking for a Sunday lunch over Easter weekend. I have to say it did not disappoint!
