We stayed for 5 days in total. And while I now know that the jungle is a little too intense for me, experiencing it the way I did was still one of the highlights of all of South America. The walks and activities were epic! Our guide was amazing, made us feel safe and his knowledge was outstanding. What made...

It's impossible to fault the idea behind this place, as other reviewers have noted it's set up and run by indigenous peoples in the heart of their community land. It's a delight that in the execution the lodge works perfectly as well. A great blend of nature walks and river excursions, alongside more frivolous activities like river tubing. The food...

One of the best experiences I've ever done. In the jungle you can constantly hear the sounds of nature and savor its magic. Staff of Madidi Jungle Ecolodge is extraordinary and has a great experience that only the natives (like them) can have. Everything was perfect: excellent cuisine, cozy room, tours, staff... Everything! I can only recommended this agency. Our...

All staff is from the community, guides, cleaners, cooks, etc. we learned all this from our guide Ricardo, who was involved in the community shift towards ecoturism in the late 90's. Our stay in Madidi was excellent, the guide - Orlando - was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and really easy to get along with. The Amazon Rainforest stretches across five countries and prices vary greatly, which makes selecting the right Amazon experience quite a challenge.
