We have spent three nights here over the last three years and have thoroughly enjoyed the food, courtesy and friendliness of the staff. We had one of the little bungalows because my husband preferred this at the time. Would definitely visit again and there is a lot to do in the lovely surrounding area.

Had a fantastic one night stay here. Such a warm welcoming hotel. Loved sitting by the log fire chatting and sipping hot chocolate. Lovely timbered room. Definitely going to visit again. There were a couple of minor things that irked me but nothing that I would really want to complain about. I did notice that parts of the cooked breakfast... More

This converted former country manor is situated in its own well kept extensive grounds near Horsham in West Sussex. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and go out of their way to be helpful. There are themed rooms in the main building along with cottage type rooms next door, all are furnished with antiques and the beds are... More

This is one of the better hotels in the UK from my personal experience. Although modern hotel chains offer good and convenient rooms in city centers, this hotel offers a relaxed stay in the country. My room was a spacious one-floor lodge. It was hard to make a choice between working from the room or from the lounge area. I... More

We stayed here through a Travel Zoo deal and were not disappointed. We stayed in one of the cottages which was very spacious. The bedroom was huge with a seperate lounge including settee, table,tv and coffee making. Most of the cottage had been updated but the bathroom was old style. It was perfectly adequate for a night but a few... More

Family celebration at the hotel so we decided to stay the night. Most public rooms in the historic old house but our bedroom was quite a level walk, mostly under cover, through garden features. The room was adequate but rather dimly lit with only a table and bedside lamps with mismatched CFL & LED lamps. The bathroom was bright which... More

I have recently stayed at The Ghyll Country Hotel, in the village of Rusper, E Sussex, for three nights last week with friends. The hotel is in a lovely setting with impressive grounds.
