The hosteria is just 5 minutes walk downhill to the train station for devil’s nose which is probably the main reason why people come here. We had an upstairs room which was very spacious, spotlessly clean with comfortable bed. The style of the room is rustic but perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. Breakfast the following morning consisted of choice...

If you want a convenient place to stay in Alausi before doing the Devil's Nose ride (and that is really the only reason to stay there), then this is it. We arrived well after dark. The hotel takes no credit cards so we were worried they would have given our room away and were relieved when they honored our reservation....

A quaint, rustic, bed & breakfast with character and warm hospitality. Located on a quiet hillside overlooking Alausi, and the valleys below, and two blocks from the railway station. Outside garden benches for relaxing and enjoying the panoramic vistas. Amply sized rooms with original wooden floors, and well appointed. A wonderful breakfast is provided in the glass enclosed balcony restaurant...

Already at our arrival we felt very welcome. The people of the hotel are very friendly, the rooms are quite big and modern decorated (not common in Ecuador) and the breakfast was good. It a 5 minutes walk from the train station, and 10 minutes from the bus.

We stayed there for one night. No question it is a very nice place but compared to other places where we stayed in Ecuador it is expensive. It would be a plus if people would speak a little English at least.

We stayed here one night before our 8:00 AM train ride. We loved our 2 floor suite. The upstairs fit our 4 kids and the downstairs had a queen sized bed for us and the bathroom. We also had a nice little seating area and a balcony. The view from the room were amazing. We wished that we could stay...

Stayed here for one night before i took the 8am Devil Nose Train. Stayed here because a) train was 2 blocks downhill b) tripadvisor gave it best hotel in city. (By far) Hotel was a disappointment. We had a back room, no view, musty old bedroom smell, old bathroom. The ONLY plus about this place (aside from close proximity to...

Stayed here for just one night as I planned to take the 8am Tren de Nariz in the morning. The hotel is situated high above the town with a lovely verandah that looks out over the whole valley. The room was very comfortable and the air so good I slept with the window open as the hosteria is very secluded...

I stayed at La Quinta with my family and we had a lovely time. Extremely quiet, great views, comfortable rooms, good breakfast, a few hundred meters away from the train station which is very convenient. I particularly loved the design in the room. I would definitely come back!
