I stayed here for 2 days for my business trip.I was given the executive deluxe room and it was a spacious and beautiful . The hotel had beautiful decorations with some antique elements . The staff also friendly .The power supply key in the room also quite unique . The only problems i had were there was no cleaning done for my room and also the bath tub had severe leakage problem . i was told by the staff that the cleaning not done because i did not leave the room key when i got out on the first day. She also mentioned that the leakage would be done once i checked out on the second day .
I had no problem to fill up my stomach because there were restaurants and cafe on both left and right side of the hotel...they are of the same owner anyway ..
However , for overall observation , i like this hotel and would recommend to anyone who prefer good place to stay at Tg Malim .

Stayed for 3 days and this hotel provides different twist to tanjong malim town. Decor is refreshing at the reception and foyer, twist of woodwork and antiques and well equipped with CCTV system as for added security. Rooms are okay depending your range of choice. Ample parking and surrounded by eateries outlet. Definitely top choice for business travellers.

We went to Tanjung Malim recently to visit some family and wanted to look for a nice and clean decent place to stay. We were recommended a new place called LP Hotel Tanjung Malim.
It was super unexpected. Tanjung Malim being a small town and close to a much bigger town - Ipoh + KL - its quite a sleepy town with semi-temperate climate (for Malaysian standards!), we expected a overly utilitarian hotel with with a simple bed and maybe a clean toilet.
But instead, we were met with a very clean small hotel (2 shoplots, I think) and actually quite boutique! It was very personalized and simply adorable with little touches of quirky old school furniture littered among the whole hotel. We had fun exploring what the weird items were! Yes there were some Ikea elements in the place, but it worked and tied in beautifully. I loved the colored lanterns in the rooms too.
For the price we paid, we loved it. We stayed in a Excutive suite with a King bed and attached toilet. The bed was very comfortable, better then some of the high end hotels I have been in and I loved the bedsheets. Simple white, definately higher then normal thread count and smelled nice and clean. There was plenty of space in the suite, easily accommodate another extra bed for kids. The toilet/bathroom was also well equipped - with shampoo, soap and stuff. So nice to have amenities in a budget hotel. Hot water and bathtub too! And they provided so much snacks, hot drinks and water!
The owners are also super friendly. They even showed me a room which they referred to as the Nat Geo room (reference to the National Geographic rectangular logo). This room had a bed by a wall that had a rectangular "window". Its hard to explain, but see the pictures. Very cute room. I think kids would love it.
The only drawbacks i have about LP Hotel was that it did not have breakfast (but then again, nearly all budget hotels don't. But they set such a high standard with the rooms, that you kinda "expected" it?). And the other drawback was that it was in Tanjong Malim - a place that I hardly visit to stay a night cause I would love to go back to LP to stay again!

We stayed for 2 nights with 2 rooms. The receptionist ( the chinese lady with spectacles) was very rude. We paid full payment for 2 days duirng check-ed in. On the 1st day afternoon while we were on the convovation, she called us and said " u need to check out at 2p.m u know?". We were so "impressed" how could the receptionist called in such way and without any confirmation question, give us instruction to check out. We asked her to re-check the receipt since we fully paid during check-ed in. She only said " ok" and never give any return call to apologize.
We only able to see that receptionist on the next day. We asked for her explanation. She said" I asked my staff..and they said so". This was really unacceptable excuse, if she the owner of the hotel, she must be really careful on doing that rude things to the customer and don't simply give such excuse to customer.

Visited Tanjong Malim, Perak and stay at LP Hotel for Two days.
The price we paid a worth, we loved it. We stayed in a Excutive suite with a King bed and attached toilet for RM228/- for the weekend.
Room service facility is not available during our visit at this time. Hot water facility for bathing but take time to heat up, this is due to it using the barrel heaters and need time to propane.

rm188/night for 1 Q 1 SS bed. The mattress & sheets are comfy and clean. But it is quite pricey for a room without iron, iron board and coffee & kettle set. The shower head in room 217 is leaky. But the ambience is great. The lobby features vintage collections which is rare. Not advisable for those with knee problems as you need to climb stairs 🙈

We stayed for one night after reading the reviews about the hotel. The greatest minus about this hotel is that it does not serve breakfast so patrons have to leave the premises to look for something to eat. Another negative is the absence of an elevator so patrons have to lug their bags upstairs.
The greatest pluses are the cleanliness and decor of the hotel. Antiques are found throughout the hotel, lending a charming and quaint feeling of nostalgia. The room we were in was also very clean and tastefully decorated. Wifi was strong and we had no problems connecting to the internet. Although there were coffee and tea, there were no mineral water bottles in our room. Also, the shower curtain had moldy spots although the rest of the bathroom was pretty clean.
Overall, LP is a very nice place to stay for short visits and exceeded our expectations for a small town hotel.

Consider quite new. It's clean. Free bottles of water replenished daily. No fridge and windows for standard rooms. I feel that it is a little pricey for this area. Lots of places to dine nearby. Will be back again sometime this year.

We were on our way to Kuala Lumpur but decided to stop overnight before driving into KL. Having checked out two other hotels in TM we ran into LP Hotel on the old route one. What a neat surprise. The hotel was new, opened in August 2012 and it was really nice. One drawback is the single rooms without windows and you cannot have breakfast at the hotel. But rooms are nice, very affordable, wifi ok. Actually a little gem in an unexpected place.
