An ok stopover, literally booked in, had some dinner in a pub over the river, slept, had breakfast and left. Owners seem lovely and attentive, place a bit down at heel in parts but ok. ..wouldn't do a romantic break here, but was only for work and delish poached eggs!

The yard looked neglected and deserted when my friend and I arrived. The entrance was locked and a taciturn man answered when we rang the bell. The bar/reception area was gloomy and uninviting, and the breakfast area under a dark stairway. We were then shown our rooms : first, "The Suite", in an outhouse along a narrow alley-way. The room...

The owners were very helpful, provided ample food for an enjoyable breakfast. Rooms were of a good size, clean and tidy and our bed, a four poster, was very comfortable. Although the place is no longer a pub/restaurant, there were plenty of places close by that you can get meals for dinner. The inn's location was ideal for us for...

This is such a lovely little gem!! Couldn't fault a thing. We came here for a weekend break just to relax and this place was spot on. Mary the owner is very welcoming. The room was lovely and clean with a beautiful four poster bed. Breakfast was the best. We will defiantly be returning.

When we could not rouse anyone momentarily when we arrived, we began to be skeptical, but once we met our hosts and were shown to our rooms, all was delightful. A canopy bed drew me into the room and at once I felt restful. It is an old timbered Inn which does need a few cobwebs blown away from the...

Stayed for just one night over the Bank Hol weekend, we were in one of rooms around the back of the main building. It was good sized room with plenty of room with a large en suite with shower, the bed was lovely and comfortable. My only small complaint would be that in several places it needed a good clean,...

Stayed overnight at weekend. Very welcoming hosts and the room was a good size. Bed was very comfortable and the same goes for pillows. Breakfast was hearty and hot - so no complaints there!! In a nice spot - not too much traffic - so all in all a nice spot to spend a night.

After arriving on a dark and windy night it was great to be given a friendly welcome at the Plough. The room was very spacious and the bed quite comfortable. The place did seem a bit rough around the edges though and the decor needed an update. Also, I wasn't sure whether it was just because it was a Thursday...
