I stayed for 2 nights. It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was dirty, mouldy (in 4 places), leaked, in desperate need of refurbishment and had a trickle for a shower out of a hose. The food was dreadful (dinner) very expensive and the breakfast was average at best. This hotel is everything bad which...

The scenery with snow capped mountains was breathtaking . Although our well presented bedroom was chilly we were given an extra form of heating immediately which well provided for...

Just spent four nights at the Derwentwater Hotel with my daughter and had a lovely time. The room was large and well furnished with a large bathroom and was very warm at all times. Breakfast and Dinner had a good choice of options and was tasty. All of the staff were very helpful, polite and attentive at all times. Great...

My wife and I booked a 4 day half-board midweek break 7th - 11th November 2016. We found the initial price good value for money and on arrival were delighted to be offered an additional allowance for F&B. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the Table D'Hote menu was very good being changed each day. The staff were excellent with...

We stopped at the Derwentside hotel on Sat 12th November and had a great time. The poor reviews left from other people are harsh. If you want a five star service and everything that you get with 5 star then you need to pay for it. We stopped in the superior room (108) with a massive bay window that you...

We stayed here several years ago and were very impressed. We called in for coffee this weekend and were very disappointed. Staff were thin on the ground. When someone eventually came to serve us they were polite and friendly. The coffee was awful. The lounge was warm but shabby with very few customers. The ladies toilet needs refurbishment- one was...
