A wonderfully tranquil spot in the country. The menu is extensive and the food good. Be sure to try the house made ice cream! Plan to spend a relaxing afternoon and sit outside if you can. On the weekends available tables outside are at a premium so reservations are advisable.

It's hardly fair to rate a restaurant based on only one lunchtime meal. So, what you read here is a rating of our dining experience on a fine Saturday afternoon in late March. Understand: We were not staying at the hotel, only eating at the restaurant. We dined al fresco at a table set outside on Nirvana's lovely grounds. We...

Nirvana is the special place we go when someone has a birthday, but don't wait for a special date. They will make any day special. There is an extensive menu for all tastes, though I'd recommend some things over others. I wouldn't, for example, get the BBQ feast for four, which we did the last time. Very impressive, but as...

Lunch or dinner at this restaurant outside of San Miguel is a rare treat! Dining in the beautiful garden, listening to the bird song and wonderful music is heavenly. The extensive menu has many delightful choices. We thoroughly enjoyed the margaritas, tuna, and lamb chops. Coffee choices and after dinner drinks were excellent. Wait staff was outstanding and we did...

Had lunch at their restaurant, took forever and sadly the food was not mediocre, it was BAD. The shrimp tacos, dry and hard, served on flour tortillas. Well, I hoped the huachinango (snapper) would be better. Not! The fish was super dry, flavorless, the beans undercooked, the guacamole that came with it was nothing exceptional, pretty much mediocre... I asked...

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Nirvana in November, 2015. The setting was beautiful as well as peaceful. The food was excellent! A great variety and the presentation absolutely perfect! We plan on taking a group there for lunch next Fall! The group needs to experience this great place!

Great little boutique hotel and restaurant 25 minutes outside of SMA. Outside area for lunch is beatiful and food was good. Very quiet and peaceful place, tried to stay overnight but was full. Price were fair and would go back next time.

I've been in San Miguel for a month and just heard about this place today. What a great way to escape the congestion an noise of San Miguel. Beautiful views, clean air, excellent service, great food, gorgeous grounds. If I ever come back, I'll book a few days here at the beginning or end of my time in San Miguel....

Went for a friend's birthday lunch, and we had lots of delicious appetizers, and actually got too full to order a total lunch. The grounds, seating, everything is stunning. Did not stay at the hotel, but went to walk around, look at the rooms and have a lovely lunch.

The food is good but not exceptional, however, the location is outstanding. It is a wonderful place to have a leisurely lunch either on the rear porch or in the garden. The menu is quite extensive with (what I think are) atypical Mexican dishes. There is sushi (okay), grilled salmon (very good), salmon in mango chutney (excellent) and Thai Soup...
