Casa Loma is located up hill and offers amazing views. The huts and structures fit nicely with the surroundings and the basic idea is good. However, the hostel could use some minor and cheap upgrades (shelf space, towel hooks in the shower stalls, lanterns in the cabanas) and some clean up (discarded toilets and wood scraps laying piled up on...

Casa Loma is a nice chill hostel located above the small village - so you should be aware of a little up hill climbing - but I will say that it is all worth it! They rooms are nice and fit perfect in to the nature. there is a lot of insects in the area but all the beds are...

We loved our 4 nights so much that we added 2 more! My wife and I (29 yrs old), stayed in Mirador, which I highly recommend. The location is great, 10 min walk up from center of town and easy access to trails and activities. It's a peaceful and pretty place with wonderful sunsets and views. The people were very...

Thanms for a great stay at Casa Loma. My fiance and i had a great night in one of the glamping cabins and met lots of friendly travellors here. The only negative point that i would like to mention is that my expensive hiking shoes with orthotics went missing from my cabin. Although the staff initially helped somewhat to locate...

I spent one night at Casa Loma and I had to leave next day due to some booking obligations but all I wished when I was leaving was to stay a few more days. First, the walk up is around 10-15 mins up the hill it is a little bit steep but not so rough, keep in mind that if...

While this hostel has a great view it's the worst service I have ever experienced. The staff were extremely unfriendly and the guests not much better. People sit around smoking cigarettes even with the obvious no smoking signs. The Hammocks are packed so tight that if you move during the night you bump into someone. I had to sit and...

Please see our other views about our friendly staff for a balanced opinion. The guy told one of the owners he was ill and leaving, paid his bill in full and made no mention that his girlfriend would be straying in the room nor paid for an extra night. So, we rented it out. When the girl came back she...

A really nice hostel on top of a hill. Worth the climb for the beautiful views of the sunsets. Amazing, cheap food and really friendly staff. The atmosphere was really nice and sociable because of the layout of the communal area and lack of wifi. We stayed in the treehouse. Although it was nice, with a balcony with a hammock,...

If you need a peaceful place to stay after trekking...Casa Loma is the place! There you'll have amazing veggie food, fantastic views and really helpful and friendly staff. There are quite a few stairs to get there but it is totally worth it. A place I would definitely go back to if I go back to Minca!

I loved my stay in Casa Loma. This place is beautiful and peaceful, the staff is amazing and looks really happy to work there. I really enjoyed the fact that there is no wifi there, you actually get to know the people in the hostel and you really feel like you are travelling! The restaurant is really good, 100% vegetarian...

Breathtaking views (the reward for making it up those breathtaking stairs!) lured me to this hostel. I planned to stay for just a couple of days & ended up postponing leaving there several times (& then coming right back after a few days away!) It really is that magical here. The staff were super friendly & incredibly helpful. So many...
