Food was not bad. Little bit better then the only other place. Reasonable food prices considering it's a out in the middle of nowhere. Pleasant staff. Rooms are your typical well worn motel style. There are really limited places to stay. It could have been worse but it was ok to my relief.

For being the only motel in Pickle Lake, the Winston really isn't that bad. My room was quite big, really clean, and I heard basically zero noise from outside the room. There is a restaurant in a trailer beside the motel, which had decent food, but was really expensive (only place in town to eat). On that note, my biggest...

We ate at the restaurant for lunch and we were very happy with the food. It's all fresh and not processed. The fries are to die for... as well as the gravy. I had the clubhouse on delicious thick sliced rye bread and their burgers were amazing and huge! The coffee tasted great and the cook, as well as the...

We didn't stay in the hotel, we simply had lunch. Pickle Lake is a very small town busy with hunters preparing for or returning from hunting trips. The restaurant is currently situated in a temporary mobile type building which is more than adequate to serve great food. I had a super big hamburger and great fries which was too much...

123go_13's review is spot on. The reason why I rated it a three is because it is a motor inn after all and you can't get to the restaurant without going outside. The wireless was pretty good, but the sheets are getting a little thread bare. The food was very good with a varied menu, but because it's a trailer...

I stayed at the Winston Hotel and was pleasantly suprised. Its situated near a lake. The staff were friendly and the rooms were newly renovated ,clean and comfortable. There were no phones in room but satalite TV, fridge and microwave. They had a fire a while back and the restaurant burned down. It is now housed on site in a...

In short, a dump. And all for the exorbitant rate of 118/ night plus applicable taxes. Now, I understand they had a recent fire, but it probably would have been better if the whole place had went up. Unfortunately, the rooms just received smoke damage and are being rented again, in the condition they were in pre-fire, which is awful....
