We booked for a saturday night, which in hindsight was probably not the best night to go . We were all over 70 years of age so it was a very busy and loud evening and there was also a big football match being televised. However the meal was good and the staff friendly but also pretty rushed off their feet. I would like to point out that although there is an outdoor lift for wheelchairs and zimmers, it is not a pleasant experience to have to go through a very busy bar area and another lounge are to arrive at the restuarant. Ideally a lift to avoid this would be advisable. Able bodied people have no difficulty in accesss to all areas. We all enjoyed the meal but due to the problem ive mentioned, i do not see us returning unless there is an improvement in the access for disabled patrons

Firstly, I have to say, the staff I encountered from the cleaners to the duty manager, were brilliant. Everyone one of them were willing to go out of their way to provide assistance.
Stayed for two nights, first night did not realise I had also signed up for the disco. It seemed that I was directly above the music, luckily, only had to put up with half a dozen songs, then the stragglers singing their own songs. Second night, not an issue as all. The other negative is that they only serve breakfast at the weekend, the website does state this, but when it is served, it is from 9am. This is far too late for those like me who have to head off on a long trip home. As for the room, it was clean and tidy, the bathroom was well equipped with everything one needs.
Would I go back and stay there, if I was attending a do at the golf club down the road, then yes I would.

We stayed one night two rooms (couple, three boys (adults)). Had booked dinner for 8.30 and arrived just on time. The manager showed us our rooms, then quickly down for dinner. Nicole, our server, was absolutely fantastic, although we were slightly late, said kitchen was waiting for us, but we didn't feel rushed. Nicole was super helpful, hotel only serving breakfast at the weekend, she recommended somewhere to go. Our rooms were smallish but the beds were really comfortable, linen lovely, shower room was a bit neat but all spotless. We had a room at the front so there was some road noise, not really a problem for us, the boys had a room at the back but only had a skylight, so it was quite warm. We had drinks in the bar after dinner, also lots of outside seating. We booked for location to visit family, it had everything we needed. Nicole was a star.

If you think back to the old Angels set up and there's been a few in the last 40 years you'll be disappointed. So many thinks wrong from the booking process through to getting the bill. Customer care skills zilch and food mediocre to say the least Money making venture, aimed at the young at the weekends, loyalty here stands for nothing.

Restaurant was busy but this did not stop the service from being prompt, efficient and friendly.
The restaurant is bright & airy and has ample space beyween tables .
I had the baked salmon which was delicious and a very generous portion size. The chicken Balmoral I am told was also delicious & generous portion.
Desserts lovely too.
The majority of staff in the restaurant are young people and each member of the team, from showing us to our table & serving food & drinks was proffesional & pleasant.
It's easy to see why this Restaurant is so popular.
Will be returning again very soon.

We visited with friends for a meal and a drink on Saturday 3rd August and I am sorry to say that the quality of food has deteriorated since my last visit. My husband had the ‘bhuna’ which we paid £4 extra for chicken, it was tasteless in a red tomato sauce with a couple chunks of chicken added. All other dishes were ok but the portions are really shrinking. Our sticky toffee pudding had vanilla ice cream instead of tablet! We did complain but unfortunately no redress was given which I would have expected. We would think twice before returning.

Just been for mothers day Breakfast and I have left absolutely disgusted with the service and attitude from the manager. Couldn't eat my breakfast as my eggs where brick hard. got fresh ones out only for them to be burnt. so I choose not to complian a second time and decided not to eat anything. manager argued there was nothing wrong with the rest of my breakfast and tried to charge me although I never ate it and told me I should have said something despite us never curtesy checked once. argued that the chef needs an explanation why he's voiding sausage and potatoe scones and beans. even when we arrived he was speaking with the cleaner whilst we where standing at the door. he finished his conversion and walked away from us and never even acknowledged we where there and returned couple minutes later to seat us. not once did he smile, say thanks or enjoy your food. I think he's in the the wrong job dealing with the public. absolutely disgusted. never had service like this in my life.

We attended on a Friday night for a meal and a few drinks and really enjoyed. The food was lovely and waiters/waitresses very attentive. We went through to Harry’s bar for a couple of drinks after dinner and was busy with a nice atmosphere. I would recommend the fish cake for starter! 😍

Disappointed in short measure cocktails, Mother’s Day disappointment, service poor , Managers attitude poor , attention to detail poor. Angels need to focus more on customer service and not profit. Staff not so friendly, food can be good but fish size now half, even on larger portion.

We booked a late lunch/early dinner here. Husband had never been before. We had a drink in the bar before our meal. Went to restaurant side, were seated immediately, drink order taken, drinks order arrived, food order taken. Starters were amazing, main meal even better, I had a small steak pie, hubby had beef bourguignon, both were amazing. No dessert as we were full. We will definitely return and would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately kids are not allowed in the bar area. If you have children coming along for afternoon tea we use the extension area at the left hand side of the bar and they are welcome to join Mon-Thurs 12-4pm.
