On a last minute decision to just head North and hope for the best, we crossed the border on a Monday afternoon and headed for this place.

I had a few apprehensions on the way, being so close to a city but, I needn’t have worried. The site is easily found just off the main routes.

The person in reception was very welcoming and provided loads of information we need to make our stay a good one. The Covid measures in place were ideal ensuring a one way system in the park and limited numbers in the facilities.

The wash rooms and toilets/ showers were very clean, some of the best I’ve seen. A small thing but the showers had a proper tap not one of those timer push in things, so much better.

We had plenty of space in our fully serviced area and it was good to see the staff maintaining the site with antibacterial sprays and emptying bins etc.

The one and only down side, the road noise. But that’s a small price to pay for a stay in a really good site and one I would happily use again.

Stopped off on our way to Skye. Usual high standards of a club site efficient friendly and spotless. Yes there is some background road noise but we did not find it an issue.

There a Toby carvery 200m away if you need food fuel.

Taxi is as advertised £15 if you pay the driver cash otherwise expect to pay £18-20. It’s a local firm and are usually there in 10 mins

Access to the site is a breeze 2 mins off the motorway

Lovely warm welcome on checking in , friendly, happy wardens. Who chatted and gave us local information and some great tips for travelling on to our next site.
After reading some reviews, we were a little worried, but, so glad we decided to see for ourselves.
Bins are located in a really clean and tidy area near the entrance/exit, they are not located far away from any pitch. We took our rubbish on our way out as there is lots of parking space to stop and do so.
Dogs on leads walked in the dog walk area was a blessing.
We love dogs , before anyone has anything nasty to say.
We have been on sites where dogs run around on extremely long extension leads or indeed no leads, pooing everywhere, owners not knowing where their pets have left a mess.
Great location for access on foot to Strathclyde country park and water sports.
Would stay again if we are in the area.
Thank you to all the staff and wardens for all your hard work to make the site a pleasant place to be.

Stopped here at the end of our NC500 trip / journey home to central England. Wish I had done some research as this place is so noisy next to the motorway.
Was told upon arrival to find a pitch then walk back to the gatehouse to advise which pitch we had chosen - good trek if you choose the far end of the site. Why not allocate the pitches upon arrival?
Shower facilities adequate but despite restrictions upon numbers in the shower and toilet blocks these were not being observed by everyone, so at times was far to busy.
Sadly there is still a stigma for non caravan and camping members, as both our neighbours seemed to look down on us only having a VW van conversation and not full blown van or camper! Couldn’t even pass the time of day with us when spoken to.
For the price of nearly £40 this was no where near as good as some of the sites we used along the NC500 which were half the price and with the WiFi included.
No provision to leave pitch keycard before 9am upon leaving the site either.

Lovely site spoilt by traffic noise. Why have a dog walking area where you can’t let them off the lead? All service points have had any bins removed so all waste whether recycling or not has to be taken over to a main area way past the reception next to the car park. Why have you done this? It’s terrible. I suppose you save money on black bags but is that reflected in your prices? This is not a site you want to stay several nights, it’s really one night stop off site on the way to a better one.

Spent three nights with a touring caravan in August 2024,
Definitely the largest pitches we have ever stayed on, Site is extremely well looked after, tower and shower block is large and very well maintained, Wardens were friendly and extremely helpful. As the site is adjacent to A74, there is constant back ground noise, but benefit of being so close to A74 far exceeds the disadvantage. Take a torch, site is dark at night!

We have just spent 5 nights at this site and what a wonderful setting it's in. We saw squirrels & deer, we had a walk around Strathclyde park which was fabulous, across the road there is a Toby carvery.
The site is kept very clean, wardens were out cutting the grass and disposing of leaves, toilets very clean and wardens very friendly. This site is open all year, so we will be back soon

Stayed here for 2 nights, have to say the campsite facilities were good - clean toilets and showers and decent size pitches.
However, I will not be returning if I decide to visit Glasgow again as the site is very close to the motorway (noisy at all times of the day) and the staff need some serious lessons in customer service and generally being polite and friendly.
I have never been made to feel so unwelcome at a caravan site, and the members of staff on duty would do well to learn some basic hospitality traits.

Do not stay if you have family!! Unfriendly letters given out by staff for children riding bikes! Told to keep children quiet!
Day 2 of being here the rain was terrible we ended up having to move our tent as we become in a big boggy puddle as the drainage was shocking nothing was done to help or to advice us that this would happen even tho they seen us set up and where aware of the weather forecast!! To add to this On night 5/7 of our stay sewage water ran down the hill towards our tents! I rang the staff to report as this as we also lost power! They asked me to move my tent at 22.35 at night when my children where sleeping to them to say I quote “wake them gently they will
Be fine” if anyone has any idea of my child’s behaviour problems this was a problem for me! Another staff member also said if it gets any worse we could wait it out in our van!
We didn’t pay to stay in our van we paid good money for the full services they provide and they couldn’t even help us with that! The smell was awful! Nothing was done about power outage so we couldn't keep our food cold! Or charge our phones for the sat nav the next day! We arrived at this site as my son was competing in the bmx worlds championships, to this I noticed a lot of other people also attended for this reason! I would not visit this site again!!! Staff were unhelpful in our time of need! Completely overpriced! Bathrooms cleaned once A-day most Morning no toilet paper!
Can I also add from my picture I added they are there to keep us safe! Wasn’t very safe or sanitary for us to stay here
Beyond a joke!!

Questionable customer services at the front desk . Extremely noisy due to the motorways running next to the site . Expensive for the experience. I took my mother for breakfast outside the park in the morning and on our return where told we could not come back in to the site without purchasing another day even thought we paid for 24h and only spent 12h our parked up . I would highly recommend avoiding this place .
