Excellent base for visiting this area with the South Downs and the Weald in easy reach from this hotel. We visited the Weald and Downland Living museum to see where the Repair Shop is filmed. The distance to the museum takes about an hour and a quarter but it is a drive through some lovely countryside. Very impressed by the hotel especially with the complimentary upgrade to a racetrack view room and complimentary breakfast with the seniors rate. Special mention for Marta on reception who dealt with us faultlessly throughout our stay, she portrayed the welcoming image that I am sure all of the Marriott group are keen to encourage. Breakfast, although mainly buffet, does have a chef on duty to cook omelettes and poach eggs, she also does lovely porridge to order. Dinner was also of a good standard apart from an overcooked mushroom risotto, this problem was promptly dealt without fuss by the restaurant manager with a complimentary replacement meal and drinks. Overall an enjoyable stay in a lovely part of the country together with a well run and welcoming hotel.…
We came here for race evening events and also one of the concerts in the evening and stayed overnight. The hotel was very busy but we were checked in swiftly and rooms ready nice room overlooking the golf course clean tidy well presented certainly recommend an outsider return again
Organised by daughter tiffanie juniors birthday birthday. 'Debs' organised the party and it was disorganised and chaotic from start to finish, she ignored all of my requests and only spoke about her pet horse throughout meetings. She was rude and unprofessional throughout, even barging into my room as she was eating a cornish patsy. Would probably not stay here again.
Fantastic value for money all round. Staff that couldn’t do enough for us to make sure that we had a good time was a real bonus. The restaurant was great and the food was delicious. The rooms were very clean and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back and stay again.
We booked a spa deal overnight stay on 12/11/2022 as a surprise birthday treat for a friend and we were not disappointed. Excellent value for money, lovely food and surroundings and fabulous hospitality from manager Toby (thank you!). We ended up spending the day at the races and didn’t visit the spa so we will definitely be returning in the new year.
Lovely hotel, rooms were a good size and clean. Food and service was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Didn’t have time to use the pool. Great location for the races. Looking to rebook again for February.
Stopped here whilst visiting Chessington with the family. What a great hotel, with such friendly and engaging staff - credit to you. Rooms were immaculate. We had two adjoining and both were great. Comp upgrade to a racecourse view, which the kids loved. Rooms were slightly inconsistent on toiletries, bottled water, robes and slippers, but only stopped one night. Breakfast was very good, great selection, including fish, which was a nice touch. Maitre d’ at breakfast was excellent and very welcoming. I have work commitments not far away and I will definitely stop here in the future. Thank you
I booked a 4 night stay as I had business in the area. After booking, I read some of the reviews. Please remember that the hospitality industry suffered badly as a result of Covid-19 pandemic. Some reviewers are way too harsh on this gem of a hotel. Post Covid, the pool is open without bookings, the gym is open 24hrs, the staff are plentiful, and the service is superb. I booked a junior suite at extremely reasonable cost. Well worth every penny (although the hotel operates a cashless policy - fine by me). Staff attentive, friendly, and totally professional. Room and view, superb. Restaurant excellent. Food wonderful. The location is great. There was a balcony to the accommodation, and full room service - (for queries, food/drink orders, and daily cleaning/restocking). The crowning touch for me, was after checking out at the very generous 12pm time frame, Moses appeared, as if on cue, and hit the automatic door opener, bade me fairwell and did all he could to make my stay a most memorable one. Thanks to the team! I hope to be back some day.…
We stayed here for some relaxation before our flight from Gatwick Airport. It was the closest hotel we could find. We were surprised by a lovely little town nearby and a beautiful room overlooking the racetrack. We fell in love with this little town. The staff here was exceptional as well. One of the main reasons I am writing gbis review is them. I always do this when the staff is amazing, as I know this helps them out! Cheers guys!
We played at Lingfield as a society of 18 , we found the whole experience very good , from the time arrived we were well looked after and treated with kindness and respect. The Golf course was well presented and challenging with excellent greens .I highly recommend this venue for golf days
