What a great find. A friendly Resturant / Bar / Function Rooms / Hotel in a little village with a green and water running through the centre. The staff were welcoming and obliging as we had a mobility impaired member to our party. The food was first rate and at less than £10 for 2 courses good value too. The...

Dear Ipad123, First of all thank you for visiting the Village Inn and for posting a review on this site. Thank you for the kind comments regarding the place itself. I would like to apologise for the poor drinks service. Although we are a pub, we do like to take all orders at the table. You are also correct about...

I was at the village inn attending a friend's wedding. The location is lovely and peaceful. Drinks are fairly priced (3 pounds for a pint). Lunch was nice, usual stuff you get at British weddings: prawn cocktail, roast and ice cream. A bit boring, yes, but I guess that was the option on offer. But the food was well cooked...

Dear Ellie79, I feel very uncomfortable replying to this review. All the slightly negative areas you have touched on relate to the wedding itself and not the Village Inn. The menu was chosen by the Bride and Groom. There are several options on offer, but as it was a Sunday wedding I assume the Bride and Groom decided to choose...

My family and I were in The Village Inn to celebrate my Dad's 75th birthday. The meals were delicious and fabulous value although my Dad was disappointed he didn't order the mussels as they looked amazing and were very popular. Staff were happy and helpful and despite being busy, remained attentive all evening and were very child friendly. My Dad stayed...

Called by on a Saturday evening at 6.30pm; relatively quiet but we could see from the bookings we had timed it pretty well. By the time we left (8pm) it was pretty full; 2 or 3 tables only empty. Probably best to book in the evenings. Ordered from the set menu; between us, we had soup and garlic mushrooms for...
