I went to New Life after suffering burnt out and anxiety and thought it might be a great place to recuperate and have some time to relax. Unfortunately I found it was really only geared to recovering addicts. As a guest there was little on in the afternoons so I had a lot of free time, which would have been...

I came to New Life Foundation to work on myself - I booked in as a resident for 3 months and have extended as so many people do if they can - There are different programs you can follow - volunteer, guest or resident and so you can tailor the experience to what you want or feel you need. For...

I stayed 2 weeks in New Life as a volunteer. It was one of my best place to volunteer. As a volunteer, you have to do community work 4 hours per day (2 shift of 2 hours) : on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,Friday. Generally, on Thursday, you will do only one shift in the morning as you can joing the afternoon...

I've spent two months in total here, one as a volunteer and another as a resident (and I hope to go back again later in the year). You could say I am a bit of a boomerang - something that happens a lot at New Life (no higher praise than that, I believe). I don't think I've ever felt so...

I came to New Life a few years ago, when struggling with anxiety and depression and a general feeling of despair for the way we live. Everything turned around for me quite quickly, and it felt as if my life was finally expanding again after years of shrinking. It wasn't easy though, and I was pushed to the limits of...

I spent 3 months at New Life as a resident and it has changed my life for the better. When I arrived here after traveling through Asia, I was dealing with a lot of issues, I still am but thanks to New Life the sadness and anger has decreased and I feel I am more balanced. The whole experience of...

I first heard about New Life from some people I had met travelling around Asia. As soon as they told me about the place I knew I had to go- the place sounded like a dream. Booking my New Life stay was a piece of cake! Sander and Eugenie (who look after the bookings at NL) where so helpful and...

Whether they know it or not, a lot of travelers come to Thailand in search of what New Life Foundation offers. It's a wonderful mix of people from all over the world, who come to work on self-development and alleviate suffering from within. At first I was a bit hesitant to join a "recovery" community where I was required to...

I heard about New Life from two Irish lads, who had volunteered there before and loved it shortly after I started traveling the world in June 2015. So I applied to volunteer for six weeks. I had to answer a few questions about myself and my motivation to come as a volunteer (this is not a hotel, lodge or retreat-centre,...

We are a mindful recovery community, nestled amongst the mountains, lakes and rice fields of Northern Thailand. We have beautiful modern facilities, and more than 67 acres of land: a lake, a forest full of teak trees and many gardens with fruit trees and rice fields. From the meditation hall, situated on a hill, we have a beautiful view on the surrounding valleys and mountains. We offer a relaxed, easy-going atmosphere in a breathtakingly beautiful landscape, only 30 minutes away from Chiang Rai airport.
