Detailed Reviews
We stayed overnight at this hotel. The reception was polite and helpful. the room was on the 5th floor. There was a wall outside our window but this blocked the noise coming from the mosque thus making our stay quieter when the prayers were on. The room was clean and comfortable although old. Location of the hotel was near eating stalls and restaurants. For the price it was worth it.

Room Tip: For short stay this is ideal as it is close to the railway station, 7/11 store and eating places.

I think most travellers who pass through Sungai Kolok are basically there for a single day to connect to the train and head elsewhere. In which case, the Venice Palace is perfectly adequate. It has a lot of (large) rooms, though appears relatively deserted. Things are generally pretty clean, albeit very basic. There is not a lot to do in the town but, whatever it does have, is easily walkable from here. The staff are pleasant enough and seem able to help with most things.
There are a lot worse options in the town, and probably only the Genting (further from the train station etc) and the Marina (more popular with... um... ‘professional girlfriends’ and the men that love them) are any more salubrious.

Good location and good rate, the room was comfortable for its price but some cigarette
burn marks on the carpet.
Staff were friendly, some of them speak good chinese and they even drive us to the border
for a small fees. Food street but beware that one seafood stall charge us more than quoted,
but still cheap. Situation look like a bit tense with police and army personnel around.
The hotel staff warn us not to wonder around late at night.
The room was quiet as the night club, karaoke are not operating.
Telephone no. 73-613700 or 611200
