Our offer is simple, comfortable bungalows by the best beach, on the most tranquil and natural island in all of Thailand. Koh Bulone Lae is completely independent and unspoiled in the sense that all of our infrastructure is provided by us and our community and is self maintained. It's one of the reason sthat our resort grounds are in such a pristine and primal condition. The flora, the birds and butterflies and the marine life are all part of this islands ecosystem and are to be considered with respect as you will surly encounter the life here. Many families with children choose to stay with us as we offer an increasingly rare chance to spend holiday time in a location this close to nature, but with a level of comfort that allows them and their children to completely relax and just enjoy their time.

This island had the best beach we visited in all of Thailand, simply stunning. We had booked 2 rooms for 2 couples, thinking it was 2 bungalows but when we got there it was 2 tiny interconnecting rooms with a shared bathroom so we had to book another. We didn't mind the cold showers but the beds were too small and the rooms quite basic. The restaurant food wasn't bad. The owners should take a boat ride to Coco Beach at Koh Ngai and see what good could look like to upgrade the rooms, make the most of the stunning location and charge the right price.

We spent 4 nights at the Bulone Resort and enjoyed the peace and quiet here. No day tourists or party people. That's why there were a few families with children. The resort is very well maintained, there is no rubbish lying around and attention is paid to details. The staff is very friendly, courteous and helpful.
The food was excellent and the portion sizes were absolutely perfect for us. You don't overeat, but you get enough. If you're used to eating large portions, there are various starters. The food was very inexpensive, we paid between EUR 20 and 25 per day for 2 people, including drinks (beer, cola, coffee, smoothie), 3 meals a day. The selection is also very large.

We booked a hill bungalow. This had a lot of space and storage space. Electricity is only available from around 6pm - 7am. Since you spend the day on the beach anyway, this is only ecological. Our bungalow was quite far away from the restaurant and the WiFi was sufficient. There is only "cold" water for showering. This is very pleasant.

Speedboats can be booked easily through reception. Massages are also offered.

It's sad what kind of review some people give here. Who cares if there is WiFi in the room or grains of sand in the room. If you don't have any other problems and can't occupy yourself, let alone appreciate and enjoy the beauty of this place, it's best to just stay at home and leave the place to the people who appreciate the important things.

Third time we are here. An island that has not been affected by tourism. Chalky white sand, crystal clear water and a reef with fine corals and as many fish as you've never seen, no matter what snorkeling experience you have. Koh bulone resort offers bungalows with a perfect location facing the sea, by the beach or elevated with a view. Family owned, very nice service, good food, good breakfast. Affordable but not for those who think hot water and electricity during the day are important. Do not hesitate to enter the island and try restaurants that have more to offer than they appear. For example. Italian. Keep your eyes open for wildlife, e.g. nudibranchs, kingfishers, monitor lizards etc

The massage at Bulone resort is not worth the money!
After trying both Thai and oil and different masseuses, the massage here is really more of the comfort kind. Is is way too soft (tried to ask for more firm massage several times) and they really didn't hit the right spots).

The lack of competition on the island could be one of the reasons...

Luckily there are many places in Thailand were the massage is excellent!!

We stayed in this resort for 3 nights on our island hopping tour. We slept 4 adults in bungalows no 12 close to the dreamy beach. A more simple accommodation which was fine, but the beds were painfully hard. We asked for extra mattress but it didn’t help. Big terrace, only thing missing was chairs for all of us. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and the food was fantastic. We really recommend this place.

We stayed in this property in January 2024. Beautiful and clean bungalow, with outdoor bathroom. There is no hot water and electricity goes on between 6pm and 7am. The food in the restaurant is excellent and the breakfast is well stocked. The island is still very wild (that's where its beauty lies) in addition to the beautiful, almost deserted beach, you can take beautiful walks in the middle of the forest. We saw beautiful butterfly toucans and monitor lizards. I recommend it to nature lovers and to those who are able to adapt.

I though the beach was beautiful. Clean, powdery white sand, clear water and almost perfect. This is pretty much what you're paying for. I found all the staff were excellent and the food was quite good. The best part of the room was the deck and view with comfortable seating. They were as clean as could be. I get it that maintenance and whatnot is expensive and complicated in a remote place but there appears to have been little upkeep since the original construction other the most essential patch-ups. The bathroom was more-or-less open air which isn't that unusual in more rustic lodgings in Thailand but they need to have screening between the rooftop and walls. In short, don't keep your toothbrush or anything like that in the bathroom. I'd probably come back though.

Bulone Resort used to be lovely and quiet but sadly they have put up a bar close to the beach which means this island is not what it used to be.... relaxing peaceful and quiet!

As the beach is full of sandflies it is impossible to lie on the beach so an option was to sit among the trees which is not possible anymore due to a bar with music at a location which used to be so wonderful and quiet.

People who want loud bars can stay in Phuket or other places!

This shows that also this island is heading downwards like all other islands in Thailand eventually do so my advice is to move on and not waste your time staying here.

Bulone resort is also very overpriced as you pay for the location.
The staff is not very friendly either so don´t waste your time!

Bulone resort used to be a resort where you could meet interesting travellers.
Bulone resort has now become a resort full of Swedish families with buggies and screaming kids and babies invading the beach and restaurant.
It seems someone in the family has a connection to Sweden and has succeeded in promoting the resort to the Swedes.
It is hard for other guests without children to find peace and quiet at this resort during high season.

The bungalows at Bulone Resort are simple and very hot with dusty and rusty fans. They do not clean the bungalows unless you ask and the bungalows are definately overpriced. Only the location at the beach saves this resort!

The restaurant isn´t up to much. The food is so so and the waiting times in the restaurant can be very long...They raise the prices every year and the helpings are very small. They do however have a great breakfast variety and also many different kinds of wines.

I can´t believe the tastelessness of putting up a bar with music close to the beach when all people want who come to this island is peace and quiet. Of course the owner of the bar is a french guy who hasn´t understood why people choose to come to this island. This island used to be one of the last islands without loud bars and one of the "last outposts" in Thailand but sadly not anymore......time to move on!
