Went for Sunday lunch to celebrate a 70th birthday. There were three of us. All-round excellent from the moment we walked in to the moment we left - a warm welcome from attentive staff who were yet not in your face! Even the younger staff had impeccable manners and service standards. The food was lovely, cooked and served to perfection... More

We stayed one night in October. The hotel itself is in a fascinating Gothic Revival style house with a lovely welcoming central hall area used as a guest lounge Our room was fine having a lovely view and a decent bathroom. Perhaps in need of a big of TLC but it was fine. We dined in the restaurant for dinner.... More

Today, eleven of us enjoyed a wonderful Sunday lunch in the restaurant of the lovely Mellington Hall Hotel. There is a wide choice of dishes on the menu, all cooked to perfection. The set lunch is a very affordable prices for either 1,2 or 3 courses and all our various dishes were cooked to perfection. The dessert choice offers an... More

It is great looking hotel, building dates back to 1876. Great location, great views, friendly staff, good breakfast, comfortable bar and the inside of the building with the carved wood is very impressive. When it was first built it must have been amazing. However saying that the room we stayed in especially the bathroom was a bit tired. Its always... More

Stayed here with my partner and was made to feel very special by the hotel all weekend. It has lovely views of the country side and also a fantastic in house restaurant. Liked the fact that they keep everything on their menu local aswell. Our room was nice and modern and the staff couldnt have helped us more. The only... More

Beautiful building, in need of t.l.c. Lovely helpful staff, but clearly not provided with the training and organisation required to run the place well. Comfortable rooms but tired decor. The food in the restaurant was good. This faded glory is a suitable back-drop for a murder mystery evening but not great value as an overnight stay.

Thank-you for taking the time to leave your comments. This is nice hotel bit pricey but not such for country manor. What they fall to tell you when booking is that in addition to hotel they run residential caravan site and touring caravan site in the same grounds! Turning this into something totally different than country manor in lovely surroundings

Thank-you for taking the time to leave your review. Your information is incorrect as the Caravan Park is run as a seperate business to the Hotel and the caravans are all privately owned therefore the park is quiet. As you stayed on the front of the hotel you had beautiful views of surrounding parkland More

We dropped in on the off chance ,for a light lunch, with our dog. Dogs are allowed in the bar, which is quite large. We had a lovely welcome in a bright and airy bar. The bar menu was quite extensive, although we only wanted a sandwich,we had decided to return when we would be hungrier,to sample more of the menu.We had a... More
