We received a very warm welcome from Matt and things just got better. The location of the Epiphyte is stunning set within its own gardens fringing into rainforest. Sitting on the wide balcony as the sun sets listening to the birds, just wonderful. Matt's local knowledge is superb and our four days in the Cape Tribulation area were spent walking...

What a hidden gem in a part of the world which is not spoken of enough! Last minute booking with no plans but by the end Matt the host had given us more ideas and passed his local knowledge on to us to help plan our days. Stunning scenery looking out towards Thorntons Peak, so tranquil and quiet here just...

I spent five weeks with Matt in the Epiphyte and had the most amazing time there. The house itself is the perfect place to relax, with views of the tropical garden and Thornton Peak in the background. Matt takes great care of his guests, providing them with fresh fruits from the local markets and his own garden in the morning...

Matt was really amazing host and helped me to explore the surrounding area. I got to enjoy the fine view from the breakfest table. I really like the fact that there was a fruit platter every morning. Next time when i'm in Cow Bay. I'll be staying at Epihyte B&B.

I've just come home from spending 2 nights at the Epiphyte Bed and Breakfast and had a great experience. From the get go the communication with Matt was smooth, I arrived and was shown around the property and given a detailed map of things to do around the Daintree and Cape Tribulation. The accommodation itself it just beautiful. I hardly...

He has created a really special and inspiring place up at Daintree and we have lovely memories of sitting out on the veranda. The views from the house and surrounding area are stunning and very peaceful. Cow Bay is also worth...

Matt and his hostess were wonderful! You won't find a warmer welcome in Australia!! Matt is a kind, genuine soul and you'll be lucky to share his home. I was a little nervous about driving on unfamiliar roads in a rental car by myself, but in July the roads are in great condition, and Matt gave me very specific directions....
