We stayed for one night in October and there was 3 of us. The room was good value and clean with nice sheets and towels. We had breakfast which was extra and good value. The staff were very helpful and polite and the hotel was centrally located. Good for a couple of nights break in Foix.

We really liked this one. It's located in and old building in the center of Foix and is kind of charming. The staff is helpful (and speaks great english), the rooms are nice and clean and the WiFi is free and works ok. The breakfast is (as often in France) kind of booring. But do try the restaurant, it's really... More

Very pleasant, helpful and friendly staff in what appears to be a family run hotel, who speak good English. The hotel itself is rather tired. Our room was huge but quite jaded with an old feeling bed. We had a very nice meal in the restaurant, sitting on the terrace which overlooks the river. Breakfast was very nice, all-round good... We finished our cycling tour of the Pyrenees in Foix, at the Hotel Lons. A bit dated, but a fabulous location. Right on the river, in the middle of the old quarter of town. Staff was very friendly and helpful - we needed to leave at 5:30 AM to shuttle back to Barcelona, and they prepared a breakfast basket for... More

We had been walking GR10 and were about to set off on the final stretch to Banyuls, 42 nights accommodation had been booked by our tour company. Three males all the wrong side of 40 checked in and were given the key to our room which contained a double bed and a single bed. We went down to change the... More

We enjoyed this hotel so much that we came back again at the end of our hike on the Chemin des Bonhommes. The hotel receptionists were helpful, professional and friendly. Our rooms overlooked the Ariege River, as did the dining room terrace. The city is fascinating: old streets, chateau, and shopping, and this is a very good location from which... More

This was the first hotel stay along the sentier cathare trail, which I took recently. After reading some reviews here, I was growing a bit apprehensive over the rooms being poorly equipped and in dire need of being refurbished. But when, I walked in the room, all the fears were dispelled. True that, the decor is dated, but all that... More

Very friendly local people. Simple food but plenty and not expensive. Nice view from the terrasse over the river. Several menus to choose from. Also a hotel. They have cassoulet. Very good for families.

Slightly overrated for a three stars but this hotel is nevertheless very pleasant and totally fine for a night. Friendly staff and large and good breakfast in the dining room overlooking the river. The hotel is right in the city centre so very easy to walk to local restaurants and to the castle and churches. Comfortable beds and good wifi... More

The location is wonderful for history buffs; in a Medieval plaza, dining above the river, walking distance to the train. For North Americans, driving the narrow streets can be daunting, though. It is clean, comfortable, & has everything one needs, but it is done on the European model, not American. The complaints about décor are misplaced- if one wishes a... More
