I got this as a present for my 30 th birthday. It was a very fun experience. We are from Norway and we usually travel outside Norway, but this was a very nice way to see more of Norway. We stayed at the hotel for only one night, but I think what is enough to get the experience as well...

If you have the money you must do this. Incredibly, in the whole hotel we were the only couple. As you walk in it's absolutely incredible, the colours, intricate detail and atmosphere can't be put into words. I won't bother describing the details as you must see this for yourself. You will NOT be disappointed. The receptionist was excellent as...

It is unique experience, but rather to enjoy once. So don’t plan to spend more than a night there. The logistic is easier than you can expect. You leave your luggage in the main, “warm” building. There is a lot of space in the bathroom to change into the thermal clothes and you can proceed to your room. Plan to...

We stayed here for one night on our honeymoon in December 2016, it was an absolutely magical experience! We had a suite in the ice hotel and I would suggest looking into this as the majority of the rooms seemed to be twin singles. Everyone asks how we slept in the cold...the answer layer up and you will be fine!...

Sorrisniva is a bucket list item in itself. A hotel made fully of ice. Your room is of ice, your bed is of ice and that's what you sleep on. Obv, there is reindeer skin and warm sleeping bags to make you comfortable and there is a warm building too. But set on the banks of Alta river, which is...

I was really excited to stay in this hotel as I have stayed in the Icehotel in Kiruna Sweden which is on a larger scale. I was really impressed as soon as I arrived at Sorrisniva. My sister and I were collected from our hotel in Alta and driven the short distance to the icehotel. The main reception is very...

The igloo hotel is an amazing thing to see and quiet enough to get lots of pictures without other tourists been in the photos. A must see, at 10 pound for a shot of alcohol at the bar its expensive but cant go...

Absolutely Magic. I have never seen anything like this before. It takes 7 weeks to build this ice hotel and every year it has a different theme. This year's theme was the "ice age" and sculptures of mammoths and other animals plus humans. The Ice Hotel had single, double and deluxe rooms. All beds, tables, chairs were all from ice...

It is smaller compared to the glitzy more famous and original ice hotel Jukkasjärvi, Sweden but this one has more of a local flair and an intimate feel. The ice hotel is brand new every year, as the previous year’s hotel melts back into the ground. This year's wonder is the Ice Age. One of the ice sculptor and designer...
