Alright so initially i was impressed but the supper we had was Campbell's soup with was supposed to be the chef's choice(which obviously was) with a filet mignon that was VERY expensive and RAW as hell!!!!! At 8h30, the bars were closed and not even open before that. Employees were not helpful at all. So your last activity is your supper. Anyway i will NEVER come back. I though the reviews i saw were angry customers but damn they were right. Lots of potential but that all there is. There's nothing to come here for.STAY AWAAAAAY
Sure, the interior is older and the rooms open with good old- fashioned keys. So what? Both the rooms and public spaces were spotless, and the rooms are larger than in many new hotels. We had 2 breakfasts and a dinner there and all three meals were excellent.
The hotel looks very luxurious, gorgeous scenery, though they have a lot of flaws. The food was often cold and/or undercooked. We didn't have drinkable water for the whole weekend, couldn't take a shower, don't know why. They was also an obnoxious noise coming from the bathroom every 15 minutes in our room, which often woke me up in the middle of the night.
I expected calm and quiet, instead it was loud! Too many things to say about how disappointed I was. Group of young adults took over the lake and the hot tub ( yes, 1 tub for entire 300 plus rooms) and hotel did nothing about the noise. Out dated room and some staff members Definitely needed an upgrade on Etiquette. (morning chef served me some nice roast beef and then took a piece with his FINGERS and ate it in front of me)! Then the lady waitress said to him « save me a piece » again in front of me! In all my visits around the world that’s one story too remember. Not worth the price!!
The exterior is very nice, however, the interior needs to be updated. Location is ok, but it's close to a passing road where we can hear the vehicles pass by. Located on a very nice lake with possibility to borrow paddle boards, kayaks and canoes. However, we didn't get to be able to borrow the paddle boards as a group of youngsters invaded the dock and squat in the hot tub all day, making our stay a non-relaxing experience. Restaurant was very nice, food extremally good, but way too expensive. Room very clean and bed very comfortable. Staff is very nice, but like everywhere else you could feel the lack of personnel. There is not a lot a space for the guess around the lake and is missing a quiet spot for people who wants to enjoy the tranquility of the lake. An exterior pool is definitely missing to complete this vacation retreat.…
We recently stayed for a overnight visit and had booked 3 rooms for our family. On a positive side, nice location, rooms are clean and comfortable and while a bit dated, the stay part was good. We checked in around 10 pm and were leaving first thing the next morning. We were presented with an additional $70 per room fee that the front desk claimed was an online booking charge. We did finally find out it was a resort fee and bumped the price of the room over $300/room. Very expensive for the area. We tried to explain that the amenities were closed and not any use to us but we were out of luck. We then went to the bar for a drink, by the way there is no table service and the bartender ignored us and didn't offer an explanation. Only went we went up to the bar and asked for service did she say there was not table service. We were only a few meters away and bar only had 2 other people in it. When we went to pay, the point of sale system was down and was an issue. We finally managed to pay and called it an night. Next morning went for breakfast that was advertised at $19. On Sunday's, that becomes brunch and the cost was $28. Only 2 of the party of 5 decided to eat. When the bill arrived, it was for more than $56 plus tax and they could not explain why. We had to do the match for them and even then was a detailed discussion. On checkout, we found bar tab from the previous evening was on the bill and on another room, there was a charge for 2 breakfasts that were not eaten. I am not sure if it is the incompetence of the staff or an attempt to overcharge but review your bill closely as no errors are in your favor. Also extremely difficult to have removed and there was a heated discussion. What was to be a nice family get away was not and will not stay here again. At the price charged, one can find something much better.…
Un accueil et une expérience culinaire top notch. The food was delicious and the setting perfect. We had a nice meal on the patio. Local microbrasserie in hand. Just Perfect. Excellent service de Faith! Demandez la salade Cesar de Travina!
The staff are very nice, The hotel feels very homey. It might not be the newest, renovated but it's very comfortable! A nice playground for children to play and it's dog friendly! The beds are extremely comfortable. Very clean rooms! I feel like all the staffs are doing a great job and are doing there best on keeping everybody feel comfortable and well served. The lac is gorgeous! I absolutely recommend this hotel for friends, family, couples!
Staffs are super nice and dog friendly, but to a point of overbearing. Our waitress informed us that someone complained that our dog is locked in a Tesla with all the windows up and we explained that yes, we have dog mode with Tesla and he has AC in the car. 5 minutes later her supervisor came interrupted our dinner and insisted that we go check on our dog, which we did and he was happy and cool in the AC car. Old place with old people who need to be updated on technology. The dog was happy and cool, the screen displayed the Ac and dog mode message but maybe people don’t read English?
This was honestly a terrible experience. Firstly, opposite to what is indicated on the website, this place is not freshly renovated. Most importantly though is the awful customer experience and management, with all my years of travel I have never seen this. With no online menu available, a great surprise when getting to the restaurant (only place to eat because this place is in the middle of nowhere) is that it is outrageously overpriced. The cheapest entrée is a 26$ pesto pasta dish. With a reservation, we still had to wait 40 min, without anyone ever acknowledging us, except to tell us to move to the side. The waitresses straight up had no respect for the customers. When wanting to talk to the manager, no one would care to come see us. When finally catching the owner, we tell him we had a terrible experience at his restaurant, and all he says is that next time we should tell the waitress that we know him! Not ever apologizing. Next morning, while at the lobby, I hear the front desk agent telling customers at checkout that they will get a free one-night stay since they went to the restaurant the night before (and probably also had a terrible experience!). When we checkout hours later, she never mentions this free stay. I have to tell her I heard her say this to previous customers, and only then does she take my email and tell me I will receive "more details" throughout the week. DO NOT recommend, management is too awful and unprofessional, it will certainly stain your stay.…
