This hotel occupies a lovely, historic building with lots of character, we had a very friendly welcome and indeed found all the staff during our stay to be helpful. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was great, there's a very cosy atmosphere in the public areas with lots of bare wood and stone, and candles, so quite romantic too.. would...

Our two nights here were excellent. We wanted to visit Stavanger and found this gem of a place in our search. Very centrally located, with excellent rooms and a great Norwegian breakfast. Best of all were the staff, who were really very helpful. Their welcome was topped off this way. We had just checked into our room and were coming...

By coincidence booked this hotel for an exhibition in Stavanger. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very nice breakfast. Hotel is close to the bus- and railway station in the middle of Sandnes. The noise level is more than acceptable. Will definitely book this hotel again.

The building used to be an old brick and pottery factory and has a quaint atmosphere. You can see some of the old factory infrastructure still up in the reception and restaurant area. The room is nice, large, and clean. My husband has found the room to be a bit warm, but there are three nice large windows in our...

We were only staying one night in Sandnes and booked a room for 2 adults and 2 kids (12 and 14). We got a room in the new part of the hotel with a view towards the train station. The old part of the hotel has more charm and a great history. Hotel is centrally located and you have everything...

Stayed here two nights. Only good thing about it was the location in Sandnes. The hotel was otherwise cold....no hearing on?!? the decor in our room was bad...'painted interior' on the walls. Dirty chairs in the hall outside our room. The breakfast was big but the eggs had been laying there for hours it seemed and was all crispy....the cheese...

The Gamlaværket hotel is connected to the Historic org. and as such, it is different from most business hotels. This also entails original rooms with creaky wooden floors, but if you like the old & quaint touch – I can recommend it. I stayed in room 203, which was facing onto the back pedestrian street. I had the impression that...

This hotel is on the high street and a 2min walk from the train and bus terminal. With a vintage feel. Restaurant is open to all, a cafe to the high street it's a hub for those enjoying a break from everyday bustle. Room had a nice atmosphere and lots of small corridors but nothing to tricky. Perhaps some noise...

GamlaVaerket is a lovely little boutique hotel in the centre of the city. It's in an excellent location to visit nearby beaches, or pulpit rock. The rooms are large, airy and bright, and the bathrooms charming and functional (large shower, a bit more room than most). By far the best aspect to this characterful place is the service. We had...

Stayed here for the 3rd time, first time in the old building, which was disappointing. Initially the room (103) looks nice, but there is no connection with fresh air and the bathroom is way too small.
