We`ve been staying at Farris Bad several times, and each time it has exceeded our expectations! The service is great and friendly. Even the most affordables rooms are very comfortable, and everything -from the rooms to the Spa is very clean. Both dinner and breakfast are a delight for the palate. The Spa rituals where delicious- using the Sauna that way and with a refreshing dip in the sea afterwards gave us a whole new experience. Farris Bad can be highly recommended for every occations, and I hope to return very soon :)

Hotel's Favourite
I've stayed here a few times the last year, and I still keep coming back. I think there is room to work on a few things, but overall I'm always happy after a stay here. Due to the pandemic, there are some restrictions in place at the hotel. I can't really compare it to other hotels I've stayed at due to this, but I think Farris Bad solves the issues that arises due to the risk of the virus in a good way. Farris Bad is in Larvik, on the seafront with fantastic view and a quiet atmosphere. Check in is always smooth, love the parking garage in the basement which makes it easy to park my car close by. Rooms are beautifully designed and some of the rooms have bathtubs and showers with floor to ceiling windows. Value for money I think the cheapest rooms are a bit overpriced, and I wish the hotel had more rooms that were larger. The superior and deluxe rooms could be bigger as well. Compared to other hotels you have very little space to move around on, storage etc. Breakfast is solid, but for a spa hotel of this calibre I would expect more healthy options and a bigger selection of juice, smoothies etc. The selection could be restricted due to the pandemic. The restaurant for dinner delivers a very nice experience, both ambiance and food is spot on. When they're allowed to serve alcohol the selection is broad, but due to regulations now during the pandemic alcohol serving is restricted much of the time. The spa is simply one of the best in Norway. It's big, spacious with most of the facilities you would expect and want. I wish there was an outside pool and a couple of more outside jacuzzis. We've had a couple of treatments in the spa, which have all been world class. As a Nordic Choice Platinum member I haven't really experienced many benefits at Farris Bad. A bit disappointing, but I can understand if Farris Bad have a more "restrictive" practice of benefits being a standalone hotel. Although the hotel might be rough around the edges in some places, I still keep coming back here for a nice relaxing weekend. I'll probably be back very soon!

I was in Larvik on business trip and decided to stay at Farris Bad, I did not plan to visit the spa, because I was tired of travelling and had work to do, and didn't even pack bathing suit we. I was very pleasantly surprised that both bathing suit and slippers were given to each guest by arrival. So I also checked the spa and it was very nice, quiet place for afterwork chillaxing. The room with sea view was spaceious and very nice. Would definately want to come back for leisure.

Big and beautiful SPA. Delicious SPA rituals and wonderful with a dip in the sea afterwards. It is wise to book a table in the restaurant in advance - risks it getting fully booked. A little bit crowdy in the SPA which made it a little bit difficult to test all facilities due to. Covid restrictions.

Thank you for getting back to us with your review, we really appreciate it. We are proud to be named the most beautiful spa in the Nordic region and will always strive to be just that. We receive feedback that we are ahead when it comes to our sauna rituals and sweat rituals are the oldest health rituals we know according to our s Head of Development at Farris Bad Spa, Lasse Eriksen. Sweating cleans the body, and shifts between cold and heat is one of the oldest and easiest forms of wellness therapy.. With the corona restrictions still in place, we operate with less numbers of guests in order to secure safe distance, both in the restaurant and spa.. It is wise to place a booking for dinner and spa treatments early to secure your wishes. This also includes entrance to the spa where we have a slot based system in place.. Our spa is 2500 sqm and we have a limit of 100 guests present in the spa at the same time. Our spa hosts are instructed to enhance corona guidelines, but we must also rely on our guests to show consideration. Our goal is to make Farris Bad the place where you love to return and the building itself, the interior and art, the spa and beach location we believe hold 5 star quality. The rest we will put all our efforts into becoming so:-) Best regards Linda Schelander Hotel Manager

We stayed only one day at this hotel, but wish we had stayed longer. We arrived in the early afternoon and after check-in went into the spa area. We had to wear the hotel's own bathing clothes, but that was fine. Spent time in the mineral cave, jacuzzi's, pool etc., but didn't have any treatments. The room was very comfortable, and we were able to set the temperature to our liking. We had dinner at Peppe's next door, but tried the bar area in the evening. Next morning we hit the spa again before breakfast and check-out. We will most likely return some day. Only downside was that we had to reserve "slot time" both for breakfast and the spa, but in the spa this wasn't enforced and we were able to stay as long as we wanted. However, limited people could be in the mineral cave, jacuzzis etc at the same time - but that was fine with us as it was less crowded.

Greetings and many thanks for your generous review of Farris Bad. Great to hear you had such an enjoyable stay and most likely will return. I do hope you also tried out our famous sauna rituals. Just now members of our team are again competing in In the Aufguss World Cup, the best sauna master in the world compete against each other with their themed shows and fight for the title “Aufguss champion”. In an aufguss, a sauna master pours water and ice with essential oils on the hot rocks. The heat is distributed in the sauna by special movements with a towel. This air flow breaks through the insulating air layer, which makes the temperature in the sauna perceived as particularly intense and nice. Every ritual has it`s unique particular topic/story and each sauna master develops his/her own theme. We look forward to hosting you again:-) Warm regards Linda Schelander Hotel Manager
