I've stayed here on a number of occasions now and the hotel never fails to impress: the rooms are stylishly designed, large, very comfortable, and always spotlessly clean. The management is always very welcoming, helpful, and utterly charming. The breakfast is not to be missed, and the on-site parking is very useful. This is the perfect place to stay when...

An overnight stay on the Loire. Our room, the studio, was the only guest room with an en suite bathroom. Property features secure parking for 5 euros per day. A ten minute walk over the bridge brought you to the enter of Tours. Make a right hand turn, and five minutes later, you are in the old part of the...

We have stayed in a lot of hotels over the years, but 'Lit en Loire' has to be one of the best. The room, sumptuously decorated in medieval style soft furnishings, tapestries and an amazing central chandelier, had a stunning view across the river. The spotlessly clean bathroom continued the theme. The hotel is in an excellent location - just...

Wonderful accommodation, beautiful, clean and spacious room and bathroom, free Wi-Fi, secure private parking (5 €, limited space) or free public parking nearby, within walking distance to Tours historical centre (just over the bridge), very nice and friendly owner. Our room also had a view onto Loire river. No problem with traffic noise if the windows are closed. The only...

We upgraded to studio accommodation - self catering. There was a small kitchen with a large fridge, stove, oven, sink etc. However the equipment was so basic they were rendered virtually useless. We had crockery and cutlery and a couple of saucepans. That was it. We eventually got across to the ladies in charge there that we wanted some way...

Although the B&B is a little difficult to find due to the small sign saying "Chambres d'Hotes" rather than the actual name, there was a very warm welcome waiting. It seemed all the family appeared to welcome us - and for the children to practise their excellent English! Our room was spacious and well decorated with the bath area screened...

We were warmly welcomed and shown to our splendidly decorated room of golden curtains and cushions. The owners are obviously trying to retain the grand style it had in days of old. The bathroom had a fancy free-standing bath - but unfortunately no bathplug to enjoy it. Breakfast was quite good - no hot food, but better than average pastries....

Lit en Loire was simply delightful from start to finish. The young woman who received us was charming; our room was quirky in a pleasant way with a wonderfully comfortable large bed and excellent shower; we were able to park in the hotel court yard securely for no extra charge and the hotel was a comfortable walk to the city...
