Stayed for 5 nights in a single room with en-suite and sea view. It was clean, warm and had plenty of space. Breakfast was excellent. I really can't fault it. I enjoyed my visit and was well looked after by the staff. Will book again next time I am staying in Sunderland.

This was our 2nd visit to the Balmoral and Terrace hotel in 4 months. This time we stayed in the room with the 4 poster bed, this room comprised of an ensuite bathroom and more importantly a fridge. The view from the room was outstanding. Given the number of hotels nearby the area is very quiet despite there being several functions...

Thanks again for your hospitality, staying at The Bamoral is a real treat, home from home friendliness and a special location. Fab breakfast, room, and views out to sea - great sunrise! Looking forward to my next visit to see SAFC, Durham Cathedral etc. Thanks Paul, regards and best wishes to Elaine - David

What a great place to stay, the breakfast is absolutely brilliant, rooms are clean with en-suite facilities, Paul will even do a breakfast take away on request. Nothing is to much for Elaine and Paul, they get things done "Just like that" The only downside is that Paul is not very good at 8 ball pool!!

Nice big room with ensuite and free wifi and parking. Only gripe was the bed had definitely seen better days. Apart from that a nice stay. The BnB is also located in a very nice location overlooking the harbour. And there are decent restaurants nearby.

Stayed here overnight as a last minute booking. Located right on the sea front the views of the harbour and sea are fantastic, but these can only be appreciated if your room is at the front or you use the front patio area, which is very nice. The reception area and breakfast room is well decorated however thte room we...

On a return visit after a 45 year absence we stayed at The Balmoral. We booked room 2 overlooking Roker Bay. What a lovely room with a four poster bed, a small spotless bathroom and the BEST breakfasts! A lovely stay, fabulous hosts and a very memorable trip back up North. A weeks stay in the above room cost £240....

My husband and I booked the day before our 4 night stay. We requested a larger room due to a cot bed and also a fridge and microwave for our little ones food and milk. On arrival we were welcomed with a warm welcome. We found the outside a bit old looking but the inside tells a different story, clean,...

It was easy to communicate with the manager via email to book the rooms, and he was very friendly. The view from my room was great - right onto the sea. There was also free wifi access. However, the entire place could use a good cleaning. There was a bit of mold in my bathroom, and a spring in the...
