Booked one night here last night. Ended up leaving and not staying the night. Hotel absolutely reeked of marijuana. Reported to reception and they did their best to spray Fabreeze everywhere. Returned two hours later to same marijuana cloud coming from the room next door. Drug den vibes here, did not stay the night.

Hotel's Favourite
Shame about the beefeater but we had a lovely stay at this hotel. Great welcome by the gentleman on reception who genuinely took an interest in our trip and made up a bed when we said it wasn’t done. Great 5***** service and would definitely visit again if we are up in this neck of the woods ….

We arrived on the 2nd of Jan and we stayed for approx a week. All I can say is that Gary and his wonderful team were just a step above the rest. I have 2 disabled daughters and we were up visiting me eldest. We had required a quiet room as the girls have sensory requirements and what can I say. The room was quiet and comfortable. They had even left Christmas cards and gifts for the girls and that made them feel welcome. The whole team were understanding of my girls medical requirements and gave us fresh towels and bedding as and when we needed. Everyone made an effort with us and made us feel so welcome. Much less to the restaurant who on the first night we ate left us standing and ignored us. Then when they did see us they just stared at us. Not great when my children have disabilities. There was one young lad behind the bar that made a fantastic effort with them so for that I thank you. If it wasn't for him I would of walked out. The second night I ate with my eldest daughter and we were served by Natalie and again the young lad behind the bar recognised us and came and spoke to my girls. They both were fantastic and the rest of the team in the restaurant need to take lessons from them and all the staff at Premier Inn. Gary you have no idea how much impact you had on my girls and made time for them whenever you saw them so thank you. More premier inns need to take a page out of Gary's book. …

We enjoyed a spacious, modern, well appointed bedroom with a large comfy bed. The standard of cleanliness was outstanding. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful. The hotel is located right next door to a Beefeater Inn which offers meal deals from the hotel. An enjoyable overnight stop.

The hotel is a 3 minute drive to my daughte so we wanted to be close to her and we combined the trip with tge chance to see Rod Stewart at the M&S Arena, 25 to 30 mins away, so the hotel was perfect for us. All the staff we met were lovely.

I would recommend St Helens Premier Inn. It is a smaller Premier Inn with fantastic service levels. Staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating. On my second stay I had a problem with the hairdryer and it was sorted immediately. Apart from that there were no problems and staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful

All the staff are very professional and courteous. They actually made my Wife and I feel really relaxed and as if in our second home. We have no hesitation in booking St Helens South again and look forward to the hospitality and banter that comes with their knowledge and professionalism. Thank you.

We stayed here as we had a family occasion. Absolutely amazing team who always give the best service. Great comfy beds. Will definitely stay here again! Shout out to David who helped with the check in on arrival. Credit to the team!

We arrived to stay over night whilst visiting family for my birthday. The guy on reception, Gary was lovely and friendly. Everything was clean and comfortable we even had a small gift in our room from the hotel team for my birthday. Its rare to find a big chain that delivers such personal touches! We had an evening meal in the Beefeater restaurant which was beautifully cooked and will definitely be back to stay again :)
