Disappointing. Four little finger sandwiches, 2 slices of bread basically. Very weak tea, made with tealeaves, I had to ask for a teabag. There was literally no service other than placing the cake stand on the table, and yet they added £11.50 on as a service charge. I wouldn’t waste my money on this again.

A single night solo stay on a business trip. Friendly, efficient check-in. Large room and bathroom, well-equipped. Decent bar meal, served quickly even at a busy-ish time. All a bit quirky, which I like. Barman could not have been less slick and 'on it' if he'd been asleep. Room had a slightly tired appearance, but it was clean. Overall this...

Me andMy husband gotmarried here in Feb 17, Angie the wedding co-ordinator was amazing. She is very down to earth and made it her mission to get a feel for what is really important to you for your day. There was no hard sell for extras, she did exactly what you wanted and the price was excellent value for money....

I am on business in Wokingham regularly. This hotel is a 15-20 minute walk to Wokingham town centre. Efficient and Attentive but not over fussy staff (Lianah and David on Reception were excellent, as were the waiters at dinner and breakfast). Clean, spacious rooms. Retains its late 19th century feel. Very comfortable. Excellent restaurant (Miltons, on site). Good range of...

A well run establishment - would recommend for business or social activities. Easy to get to and good parking facilities. I stop regularly and there is always a friendly face on reception, like Lianah, to ensure your stay is a welcome one !

Have been staying here on business for 8 years. Convenient for Wokingham town centre etc. Attentive, courteous staff. Comfortable, clean rooms - not noisy Excellent freshly cooked breakfast NOT congealed under a hot lamp like in other more expensive hotels! Perfect poached eggs. Super scrambled eggs.

I've just stayed one night in this excellent hotel. The room I had on the ground floor looked out over the gardens. It was a very comfortable bed, super clean bathroom, with everything provided. I was here for a family wedding ceremony and reception. The hotel staff were welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The food was extremely tasty with...

Utter disappointment. There was member of staff running the entire restaurant, I can't fault him he was working hard, but it took forever to get our drinks and food. When the food came it looked lovely, and tasted good. But it was short lived, after eating the four finer sandwiches, so around one sandwich, and the scone and a biscuit,...

This hotel is OK and convenient location when visiting Wokingham on business. But the WiFi is just terrible. Each time I stay I comment on this but nothing happens. Think I will try the Hilton next time.

I was very pleased to stay at this hotel, such a welcome change from the major chains. The staff were attentive and helpful and I was able to relax in a very nice room, which was spacious and had views of the gardens. David was exceptionally helpful and I plan to stay here again.
