Rooms are very typical dated 2* French hotel style. Bathroom was tiny, but plenty of hot water. Bed was small, but clean and fairly comfortable. The meal we had in the evening was amazing, and certainly way above our expectations for this sort of hotel. The staff are lovely too.

A month before our travel, I sent 2 emails to La Poste to make a reservation. I sent a 2nd email in English in case they did not understand my bad French. No response for a week, so I called them. On the phone a lady responded that rooms were available and asked me to send an email with the... More

Yes, the room looks like it came straight out of post-war France, but it is clean, the bed is comfortable, and there's lots of hot water. Yes, the lights in the hallway are motion-activated, just like they were 40 or 50 years ago. And the lighting in the rooms is dreadful, especially for readers. Get over it; go eat. I... More

Stayed here on a trip through the Normandy battlefields. The hotel furnishings are quite old, the decor is out of the 70's, the rooms are small but spotlessly clean. It's all kind of charming and we felt like we were in real, untouristy France. The food is outrageously good (beautiful presentation and tasty as well) and more than makes up... More

Arrived wet through on my bike and needed somewhere to recharge the batteries! Bed and bath for 58 Euro was very acceptable Somewhere safe for the bike - which is excellent Food was very well done Only gripe - bath water wasn't hot enough - shame!!!

We have stayed in this hotel in the past, however it has recently been taken over by new people. The hotel itself is well located in Falaise. VERY clean, friendly staff. (English not great but hey your in France!), really good authentic dining. (Though note this is almost gastro so possibly not great for kids). Rooms are simple but as... More
