Quiet hotel located in the outskirt of the town. The rooms are clean and confortable, single rooms are equipped with TV, minibar, hair drier. The beds are quite tiny . The personell is gracious and professional.

Simple, solid and straightforward family hotel. Traditional appearance with lots of heavy wooden furniture and fittings. Good restaurant. Breakfast adequate but not lavish. Free wifi. Walkable to town centre: 2km.

This hotel makes a lovely change from the boring 'samey' hotels you often see... This has a traditional German feel and is well looked after. Breakfast was good and I had dinner one night which was nice. There is ample parking which is ideal if you have a car. My only problem was that the room I had smelt of...

it appears to be a family run hotel – I was allocated room 19 at the rear; it was quiet and I slept well. Room décor is ‘traditional’ with furnishings to a suitable standard. Dinner was great – plenty of fresh bread, prawn cocktail with melon – a large helping nicely presented; for main course (30 Euros) I chose 300...

I have stayed at this hotel once before and didnt have any problems, but this time there was a function on and the loud music went on until 3.00am. If there is going to be a function could they not relocate the guests who are not part of the party to rooms higher up so it is less loud?. The...

What a great little find. We live in the Netherlands and wanted to spend the day at the Christmas market in Cologne. Rather than pay the extortionate prices for a Cologne hotels and tackle the crowds, we found this family run hotel. We were able to park the car at the Langenfeld train station and catch the train directly to...

Very clean and nice hotel. Free wi-fi and smiling faces of staff are positive. Only downside is no elevator due to old building. Also some additions to desert menu at the restaurant could be considered.

Its so peaceful, with a friendly staff. No elevator, but spacious rooms, nicely appointed, clean bath. Easy access to Cologne. Wonderful restaurant and breakfast (extra.) Staying in the country instead of the city, with free parking was a real plus.

Having an office in Germany requires frequent trips and of all of the hotels between Dusseldorf and Köln, this small, privately held hotel is a gem. The rooms are comfortable and typical for the region. But the draw is the owner Günter Lohmann and his staff. From housekeeping to front desk, they never miss an opportunity to be of service....

Just returned from a three night stay here. Chose this as it was close enough to Colgne to travel there easily and also that it had it's own brewery! Our room was huge with a great big comfortable bed, setee and arm chair plus desk! Bathroom was spotless with a huge corner bath. The only downside was that the shower...
